only reason I give 4 stars is because I ordered the ashtray on Thursday and received it on a Saturday.

the ashtray I received does not look the same as the one displayed, and I've been skeptic about buying this ashtray for this exact reason ....." thumbs down!!

Happy would be elated to get a piece of Chubbs - and he can do it by picking up this heavy weight iron hand. It's solid - and heavy and won't be going anywhere anytime soon. Leave it outside on a windy day and you'll find it in the same place. No match for an alligators however.

It was a gift and the person loved it. Holds about 2, maybe 3 cigars.

Great ashtray! It is very cool and authentic. It weighs a lot, so it doesn't feel cheap at all. The size is ok (I'm guessing you can set up 2-3 cigars at once, for cigarets I guess many!). Also, it looks very nice for decoration, I have it permanently in my living room (see picture). The sipping was fast. I just hope this maintains well with multiple washes, i'll keep you posted.

I actually use the cast iron hand to hold my car keys. When I come into my apartment, I throw the keys to the "hand". I always do this so I don't ever have to run around and try to find out what I did with my keys last. The cast iron gives the hand some very good weight. This thing isn't going anywhere on its own. I attached very smal felt cushions on the bottom because I have it sitting on a glass end table. The only complaint that I have (minor) is that since it is "cast" there is a seam that goes around where the two halfs come together. Ideally, it would be great not have any seam. However, it was that critical for me. I do have a lot of fun with it. If you were buying it for an actual ashtray, it would certainly work as a rest for your cigar, but as you can imagine, it would need to be emptied fairly often as the hand/palm is not that big.

This is the second one o have brought. It holds cigars and cigarettes and looks Amazing. Also in a place like Florida it doesn't move in heavy winds.

My new favorite ashtray. Perfect for one or two smokes. There's not a lot of room for ash and stubs, but you should be emptying it out after each smoke or two anyhow. The only knock against it is that it should have come with a felt bottom. Its very heavy cast iron and will mar or scratch many surfaces. I keep it on my glass-top patio table, where it would be a potential disaster with that hunk of iron on glass. So I bought some adhesive-backed felt and applied it myself. Now its perfect. Would have gotten that 5th star if it came with it.

My husband loves his cigar ashtray. It is manly, and looks fantastic. The cast iron is heavy, and well made. I recommend this ashtray for any cigar smoker.I receive a lot of compliments and my friends find the contents a talking point.

This is a truly unique ashtray, but you could also use it for keys or to hold loose change as well. I purchased this ashtray for my boyfriend because he's starting to smoke cigars again and we were both pleasantly surprised by how heavy duty and very well made this bad boy is. I actually found it quite some time ago in a catalog, but refused to buy it due to the price. When I found it for $15.49 on Amazon, I jumped on it because it was a lot less than the crazy amount they wanted for it in the catalog.

We received a ton of compliments on this ash tray. It would make a great Christmas gift for that cigar smoker in your life. We used 2 of them for a cigar and scotch event at work. Well made, good heavy weight to them.

This is a heavy cast iron hand. It doesn't quite look like my hand, kinda has longer alien-like fingers with a narrow palm, so I don't fool anyone when I go in for a handshake with this thing. It currently resides in my dining room with a lighter resting in its palm, much to my wifes chagrin since she says it doesn't match anything else in the room. I suggest we get more hand shaped decorations to bring the whole room together
