Haven't found the right tea for it.by a2020 (2 out of 5 stars)

I really wanted to love this, but like other reviewers, I found that it did not actually make a great cup of tea. Tea escapes from the submarine, and yet putting in a teaspoon of tea makes it expand and fill the sub, not seeming to allow enough water flow to brew the tea well. It looks adorable, but it tips over, leaks tea leaves, and somehow the tea is still weak.
In terms of the submarine not tipping over, hanging it from something above rather than hooking the chain over the side seems to help, but with all that I just reach for my other more practical, less cute infuser.
it is a waste of money

DO NOT BUY THIS! it is a waste of money! First off, it is not for all tea leaves. Second I had a hard time sub merging it like in the picture. Third the materiel it is made of is super cheap! It's a waste of money. Save yourself the trouble and get yourself a metal mesh infuser! You have been warned. I want my money back. Funny thing is it probably cost more to send this thing back than what its worth... Waste of time and money.

I'm a huge Beatles fan and I love tea so when I saw this product I thought "perfect". It took a month to arrive, which is fine because it was shipped from Hong Kong. But the quality of the product is absurdity shifty. The plastic is of such poor quality that it can't even close to be used. Do not buy this product, you will regret it. Cheers!
Not that great

The price reflects the quality of this item. The Ice Tea Sub is mediocre at best, the quality is not that great. The little cap which keeps the tea inside does not close very well. The submarine is not heavy enough to submerge under the water so it just stays afloat and the tea does not get steeped, leaving you with water and no tea.
junk

Junk! First it does not sit all cute like in the pic, it is flimsy and just floats on it's side near the top. The holes are so small that the tea can barely infuse into the water through them. If it was worth my time to send it back, I would. I bought this for my Beatle-loving 7 year old and very disappointed with this product.

This infuser is terrible! The small holes that are supposed to allow water in and out are NOT fully punctured therefore there is no water flow. It's just a cup of hot water with a submarine floating on top. Also, the lid does not stay on, so on the off chance you do end up with a cup of tea, it's because you have leaves floating free. Spend the extra few bucks for one that actually works.
Not for fine teas

I've used this infuser for 2 types of tea so far, with no problems. The main one I use it for is my hibiscus tea, which is basically large dried out flowers- they fit in the sub just fine, and I haven't gotten any loose particles in my cup. the sub sinks just fine, and held plenty to make a good flavored cup. The fact that it's so cute is just an extra plus :)
Great Tea Infuser & Cute Too!

My yellow submarine tea infuser is great. It releases the tea a little slower than the average infuser but that it to be expected with fewer holes than the average infuser. It has holes in both sides, the front, and the bottom. It holds about the same amount of loose tea that an average tea infuser would, no less and no more. I expected it to be small but it's really the perfect size. I love the look too, I tell my co-workers that it's time to fill my yellow submarine & I sing the song. I'm pretty excited about it, lol. In summary, this yellow submarine loose tea infuser gets the job done, holds enough tea, and infuses at an appropriate rate.

This was a little smaller than expected but the real problem for me is how easily the little top of the submarine comes off, which worries me every time that it will come undone in the cup and spill all the tea out.
This is adorable but that is about it

This is adorable but that is about it. The little "lid" does not stay closed so the loose tea leaves come out. It also has hardly any holes for the tea to steep through. It is basically a cute ornament or decoration but not usable for It's intended purpose
