I'm a veterinarian who was looking for something with which I could convey basic anatomical concepts to non-veterinarians. This is it. I was absolutely stunned by the accuracy and precision of this model; the quality is just superb, and even the texture of each major organ is precise, as are the major prominences and features of the major bones. If you have an interest in knowing your dog's basic anatomy, the location of major organs, and their relationship to each other, this model fits the bill just brilliantly. I highly recommend it. At the price, it's an absolute steal.

Some reviewers have stated, some of the pieces to this model do not fit properly...well, I found out after receiving it, it was not an easy task. I am a grown adult, and I do feel I have tactical skills, to a degree, and initially, I found this review to be correct, UNTIL my 8 year old granddaugher came over and put it together perfectly, with no problem. Needless to say, I felt quite the 'dummy', but in my defense, it is a challenge--which to me, is a good thing. As for my granddaughter, I have to believe she has a hidden talent, and maybe this will spark in her the passion to be a vet, as she absolutely loved putting it together perfectly and was very interested in learning about the insde of a dog. Thank you for making such a great tool for education! We enjoyed the quality time together, and opportunity to bond in a special way, which was an added bonus.

Great learning tool; not so great for constantly taking apart and rebuilding

This model is very helpful in learning a number of different items related to dog anatomy including some skeletal features and internal organs. My only issue is that some of the snaps that hold it together don't stay put and snap out of place ocassionaly. With extended use of taking it apart and putting it together it will wear thin and might not stay together after awhile.

We got this and the horse version for my 5 and 8 yr old respectively. The dog was larger and a bit easier to put all together. The instructions are much like ikea instructions with just pictures but we were able to figure them out. I wish there was a way to keep the informational booklet with the model because otherwise it's pointless as a learning tool. Here's hoping we don't lose it.

Looks like a great product but was missing a key part. Have requested a return and reordered it. Hoping the next one will be complete. If not, will return again and give up.

Update: Replacement came quickly and was perfect. All parts included. Found this to be a nice educational tool and would reccomend it to others.

12-yr old daughter is an avid animal lover and has never swayed on wanting to become a veterinarian ever since she was very little. She has a mock vet setup in her room, complete with ex-rays, animal pens, vet records that she maintains, you name it. This was a great addition to her little "clinic" and she was very happy to receive it. Easy for her to build and put together.

I'm a vet tech student so I was really excited to get this but was a little disappointed. While putting it together one of the pong things to attach the organs broke on me so the intestines doesn't properly fit and wiggles around. This wouldn't be that big a deal if I actually got the clear half of the dog so if the intestines were to fall out at least I had the clear cover so it wouldn't completely fall out and get lost. It also doesn't secure to the base so I'll probably use double sided tape or something like that to keep it from falling over whenever someone bumps into my desk. I wish the heart was removable to look at the details more but overall I like the details of the bones and organs just wish I got a complete set.

My boys have now taken it apart and put it back together a few times. They know where things are. It's not a play toy but it eventually became the Zombie dog who would die and they would put it back together again and it would revive for a time. I dunno if I approve of that. (As I try very hard to hide my laughing).

It is complete. Good rendition of anatomical parts, accurate. Would have liked it to have been a bit larger and in better detail. Would have also like a female version with pregnancy to show pups in utero.

Really cool gift for my 9 year old who aspires to be a vet. Trying to get a kid interested in the technical things like anatomy can be challenging but an awesome visual like this helps immensely and deserves a five star rating. I would love to have all of your models but it's a bit pricey. Keep up the good work!
