CYBERTRONIC CHAMELEON COPIES COLORS COPIOUSLY. Huey is an electronic glowing chameleon lamp that dynamically matches the color of whatever he sits on. If you have a favorite green notebook, plop Huey down on top and he will match the color with his glowing skin. If you just painted your room Cerulean Blue, hold Huey against the wall, then squeeze him gently and he'll hold the color, even if you put him down on your brown nightstand. Huey even has a color cycle mode if you're indecisive. Watch him pop from color to color and give him a little reassuring squeeze when he gets to the one you like. Huey lights the surface underneath him with hidden white LEDs then uses a sophisticated optical sensor to determine the correct color. Glow toad!

I was looking for a "glow toad" from The Dragon Prince and this is closer than I thought I would get! I didn't read the description carefully so didn't realize it changes color based on what it's placed on, which makes it even more awesome. (I assumed it just cycled through, which it also has a setting to do.)

It's SO AWESOME! The change is IMMEDIATE! It flickers between white and pink if it's not on anything, but I think it's because it isn't on anything and it gets confused. It's just as big as I thought and that's a really good size! Haven't measured it but it's not small at all! It's as long as a... big glass cup? If that makes sense? It works WAY better than I thought it would! I thought it would work but take a couple seconds to change but nope! Right away!

Pretty fun gift

As described. Pretty fun gift! It runs on battery or plug in and has a mode to run through the colors automatically. It will only pick up obvious and bright colors so something like magenta or red orange will look different and brighter but it's pretty fun. Much larger than I expected, I imagined a small handheld lizard and he's a full size toy. I think this is safe for younger kids too because the toy is a rubbery and slightly bendable plastic so they're not as likely to get hurt running around with it.

The color matching makes this light awesome! I just thought it was a color changing lamp. Nope Huey changes his colors to what ever you put his belly against! We spent forever testing things all over our house to see what color he made. My teen loves this thing and I'm totally going to give these as gifts to nieces and nephews! Techie gift that anyone can love!

Been working non-stop for 2 years with no problems!

We have had Huey since March 2012 and he is been on pretty much non-stop since then. We use him as a nightlight for my son, and rarely turn him off. We change his color every couple of nights and all of the colors are still working with no issues. My son loves to be able to chose a new color every few nights, he usually chooses one out of a book. We do have times where we have Huey on a color with a reflective surface and he turns white, but have found if we just lift it off the surface a little bit it works just fine. Our only complaint is that he is a bit bright for a nightlight but that is easily solved by slightly blocking the light. He has been working great and non-stop for 2 years!

Purchased for a six year old, this fascinating chameleon light was well worth the money. Fascinated all buy actually turning the color of what it was set on. Perhaps not the exact color, but close enough to entertain.

I bought this to teach the concept of light/color sensors to kids -- I run a Lego robotics program and the robots have these sensors. The kids think it's lots of fun, and the little guy is very durable so perfect for eager kids. Even my grownup friends were surprised at how well it works!

Huey Rocks!

No one who sees Huey in our house can resist playing with him. He's a soft little lamp that holds up well to the abuse of my four year old and husband, who may be even worse. We've had him for a few months now and he still works just as well as when he came out of the box. He comes with a color wheel chart, but it's more fun to see all the colors he will turn from things around the house. Every night after reading, we place him on a book so our son can pick the color he wants to use as his night light. This product is really fun and has held up so well - I'd recommend it to anyone of any age!

Purchased for my son's first birthday (but also for myself). WE LOVE IT! Matches so many colors surprisingly well. I use it as a night light in my son's bedroom at night, and for our entertainment during the day. He enjoys it, I enjoy it. Very impressed, exceeded my expectations.
