The Super Tool 300 EOD is a workhorse of a multitool with beefy features and added EOD-specific tools like a military-performance-spec cap crimpers and fuse-wire cutters. Extra strong pliers with cleaning rod/brush attachments have replaceable wire cutters. Comfort-grip handles feature cutouts to make accessing tools with gloves on a cinch. Overall Leatherman Quality!

Let me first say, I am a leatherman power user. I carry one with me at work and have for 20 years. Not a fan of this model. I purchased it specifically for the crimp tool on the pliers head. I do a lot of electrical work. That being said. My largest complaint is the crimp tool on the pliers head.

In order to add the crimp tool, Leatherman had to do away with the larger grip of the plier head. It turns out I use that a lot. Sometimes we don't miss things till they are gone. This unit replace my Super Tool 300 which was lost on a job.

Some plusses would be the hack saw and the punch. But again, to get these, I gave up a second knife blade. Doesn't sound like much, but I used to have one blade I only used when I needed something sharp, the other I would abuse and would be dulled regularly between sharpening's. Now I don't have that "backup".

All in all it is a good tool, and the fact they are moving into replaceable blades is kinda neat. My only advice is to look at what tools it comes with and make sure it fits your needs before you buy.

Fantastic multi-tool. Exactly what I expected it to be and then some. btw, the knife is EXTRA sharp when new. duh. I cut myself just opening the first time. lol 100% satisfied. Small note, the black does not come 'off' the tool but a bit of it is coming off on my hands when I use it. Not a lot but I noticed it. I expect it's just over-blow powder coat.

The tool works quite well, though it is a bit stiff when first used (the pliers can be tough to use without the handles folding). However, the brown molle sheath immediately broke (the snap broke in it's second day of use). This was rather disappointing since I've had good luck with Leatherman sheaths holding up well in the past.

I love Leatherman products and this is a great tool to have. The pouch that came with is MOLLE compatible and attached perfectly to my 5.11 Rush 10 MOAB backpack. I highly recommend this tool if you do a lot of electrical work. I love the finish but it does leave a residue on your hands after holding it.

Aside from the leathermam being great quality I was also super impressed with the box it came in. The leatherman was a gift and I just put a bow on the box because it looked nice! My husband also commented on how nice the packaging looked.

I own several leatherman multi-tools, including the Super Tool 300 in both stainless steel and black oxide.I use the black oxide version specifically for the outdoor, landscaping, garage/ auto -specific tasks. No complaints. The tool is reliable, sturdy, and great size fit for my large hands.
