Good for a one pet household, as the amount of water it holds and dispenses usually can satisfy one animal through out the day, i find myself refilling it quite often and will probably switch to a larger capacity feeder since we have more than one fury friend.

Recommend buying a hard plastic 2 liter bottle to use as while recycling your soda bottles for this is eco friendly, the soda bottles don't last very long before imploding due to repeated use.

I work at an Amazon fulfillment center and I thought that my Little Sarah would love this porcelain toilet for her

water bowl, since she is not as tall as our other dog, Bandit, and can not reach the regular toilet to get a cool

drink of water.

But when we ordered it and specifically went out and got a 2-liter bottle as per the instructions on the box, filled

it with water and inserted into the tank ------ whoa! look out! the basin overflows. I can not figure out a way to

prevent this and get full usage out of the watering fountain, since the bowl maybe only holds a cup of water and

I don't always know when it is empty.

Please let me know if I am doing something wrong and if this is just a malfunction in the making of the item?

Broken far too easily

It's a good idea, and fun...but my cat tipped this over one time and the tank broke. I was able to fix that with some super glue, and then my son tripped over it and the tank came completely off from the base. I've had this for less than one month, and sadly...it's already in the trash can. Too expensive to be this fragile. should have been made of one solid piece, and absolutely out of a less fragile material. Do not waste your money on this.

Toilet Dog Bowl

It is a pretty awesome thing to have for your pet but, I do not think it is okay for dogs. We have decided to KEEP our purchase as I will get a cat one day and, use it for my cat this is not made suitable for a dog we think I have read some comments and they say it's awesome for there dog. It is Ceramic and could break like glass the dog will knock it over and, it will break the downfall was that the water part did not come with it like we thought it would the plastic bottle did not come with it. But still we decided to keep the toilet dog bowl for my cat it is suitable for a cat someday. I look forward in buying more dog stuff on Amazon for my dog that I am planning to get and preparing for. I wish I knew the toilet dog bowl was Ceramic etc. If it did say it was Ceramic we did not see it anywhere online fun thing to purchase for a cat but, not for a dog.

This item shipped and arrived sooner than shipping details stated. I was aware before ordering this waterer that there was a possibilty that the tank may not be sealed to the bowl.

I did indeed find this to be true , so i picked up aquarium silicone and set out to separate the bowl and tank. This was easy enough as i used a knife thinking i would be cutting silicone,turns out the clear adheasive was hard . During the attempt to separate into two pieces i heard a snap and was looking for a chip off the porcelin, and the tank had separated from the bowl. I had a 8oz tube of silicone but only used about 2ozs. The bowl is back together and i fully expect to be able to fill a 2 litre (approx 2 US quarts) plastic coke bottle and move about the house without having to wipe up several cups of water.
The maufacturer of this item should be sealing the top and bottom better with a bead all around the base of the tank before thier final assembly!! And that is the only reason i gave a 4 star rating... our little Yorkie and the two cats like drinking from this novelty bowl. I would buy this item again but would also expect to re-seal the bowl and tank.

My dogs: miniature dachshunds

This is a great little bowl...very fun. It's a nice weight ceramic, which is much better than the plastic I was expecting. It doesn't feel or look cheap. It is definitely small, though. Of course it will refill itself, so I suppose it really doesn't matter how much water it fits each bowl.

Several reviews have mentioned the bubble that occurs as water drains into the bowl as scaring their dogs away. I recommend using the bowl as a traditional water bowl that you refill on your own at first (no 2 liter water bottle). Once your dog is used to it, then try putting on the 2 liter bottle. If that doesn't work, then you can still use it just fine without the refill bottle, but you'll have to refill it quite often due to the small bowl size.

Really cute but very small. Suitable for lap dogs or cats. Purchased for my cats & it took a while for them to use it ( that's how they are). If they had rejected it, I would have used it as a planter and still been happy. Lots of positive comments. Don't use a 2 liter soda bottle. I used a half gallon plastic rum bottle. Heavier & looks more like a water cooler.

I got this for my Lab, but the bowl is to small for him to use, so unless you have a small dog, or cat, I would not purchase this Item.

This is the coolest water system for our 3 dogs. They love it and everyone that sees it gets a kick out of it too. Compliments the dog food dish too.Easy to clean and fill. We just need to be careful not to drop it. Well worth the price and was delivered to our door sooner than expected We highly recommend it to dog and cat lovers.

This is a cute water bowl but cannot find a water bottle that works in it. I don't understand why they wouldn't offer a bottle with it or one to buy separately ! I tried a 2 litter soda water bottle but it collapses as the water flows, I'm extremely disappointed. Will use is it as a planter out on one of my outside decks.
