big ball needs a rope

Ok it's a nice ball, instruction say to inflate with mouth you will die before you enjoy the ball,I use a hand pump and it still took me about 45 minutes I didn't want to use a electric one cause I wanted to see how long it would take me. It's heavy and hard to manage. I try it at home to check it out first I will up date when I use it at a park. It's more about 8ft then 12ft,when its empty I can see 12ft. It needs a rope to keep it in control I'm thinking of buying a net to rap it around. I hade a hard time controlling it now just imagine if you had some wind.

It's so large it's almost too large

When they say big, they mean it! I had to walk around it just to find the inflation nozzle when I wanted to deflate it.
Speaking of which, inflating even with a pump takes forever and deflating takes even longer. So while you are deflating it, you have this massive ball to try to deal with. It is so large it's unwieldy but visually very impressive.

Update: a dry-vac blower blew it up in a quarter time it took my electric pool toy inflator.

Comes with holes

I hate leaving 1 star reviews. :( But this product just doesn't work. Had many holes. The plastic cracked. Perhaps do to the temperature during shipping. When it arrived it had large linear holes, most of which where exactly where it had been folded to fit in the package. We were still optimistic and patched it all . When we inflated it tore new holes almost immediately. Perhaps under perfect condition it can work out and perform well.

Great for instilling fear of beach balls in young children

Takes a while to blow up (gross understatement) but held up to a whole afternoon of abuse by college students. It's definitely not 12' inflated, actual inflated diameter is around 8'. Fill valve is similar to one that you would find on an airbed, 1" diameter opening with a one-way valve insert for inflating and another cap attached to the insert to prevent leakage. To deflate, just pull the valve insert out. (Both the one-way valve and plug are on the same rubber strap)

Extremely fragile, kind of regret it
by Stonefire Pizza Co. (3 out of 5 stars)

I got this ball to use as a display piece at our family fun entertainment center. Nice to look at, makes us look cooler, technically available for tickets while we don't realistically expect that to happen for a long time. I haven't cared to measure what actual size it is (since other reviewers claim it's not 12"), but it definitely does the job I wanted it to do. There were some awkward things about it, though. First, The "repair kit" is just a tiny square of plastic you can cut to repair very tiny holes. For the size, this is not likely to be very useful, as any punctures you get will probably be much larger.

Second, it specifically says not to use an air compressor. I don't know what kind of power they're expecting anyone to use with their air compressors, but ours provided about 60 psi without any problems. It took me about 90 mins. to blow the thing up with that, largely because the nozzle is RIDICULOUSLY HUGE! I had to use some putty to plug up the extra space so I could actually blow air in without losing just as much. They actually expect you to only use your mouth to blow it up, but I pity anyone that actually tries to do this. You'd spend your entire day at the beach just blowing it up.

This was purchased August 27th. It is now Dec. 13th. We've had to refill it a couple times, and after this last refill, it is now flat. It has not been exposed to anything such as the beach sand you see pictured; it was just on display on top of our ticket redemption room, where there is nothing that could prick it. There was no sign of a leak when we inflated it, and I made very sure not to over-inflate. I found a couple holes that I managed to patch up with about half the (again, very tiny) repair kit today, and we'll see how that lasts. Still, for specifically trying NOT to over-inflate it, those holes shouldn't have occurred. It just goes to show that this product is very fragile and not worth the money. For the hassle, I'd rather just have my money back, but I can't find any way to contact the seller.

Sad

We purchased this for a summer camp and it popped before the kids even started to play with it. Poor quality lead to disappointed youth as we were really excited to use this giant ball.

I absolutely loved this ball while it lasted
by Tmom (3 out of 5 stars)

I absolutely loved this ball while it lasted. It was the stated size and was fantastic. Our youth group loved it. Just as an FYI it did take an hour to pump up with a small compressor. The only reason I am not giving the ball five stars is because it did get a hole in it the first night we used it. Luckily everyone at our camp had rotated through our game stations and everyone had had a chance to play with the gigantic ball. But it was so disappointing. And because I bought it well in advance of our activity I am beyond the return window for a beach ball that cost 150$. It really was so fun and had so many possibilities of being endless fun if it wouldn't have popped.

It's ten feet, not twelve. If you get a hole in it, it is really difficult to find. But overall it was still worth it. Very entertaining.
