Bought this to carry extra 14 rounds of 357, 38 ammo. Ammo fits well and can use for other rounds. The first picture is 357 ammo. Second picture there is 7.62x39, 460 , 30-40 Krag, and 2 3/4 410 ammo. These fit well also. Im sure you can use to carry other ammo. I just received it last week and is well made. Time will tell how it holds up but now I highly recommend.

A great bullet pouch. Rounds slip in nicely. Stays snug, feels safe, no loose rounds in a box or your pockets. Nylon with plastic clip-strap (no noisy Velcro). About the size of a man's wallet. Double looped, doesn't droop. The loops have what look like a single sheet of Velcro stitched to the underside, but it appears to be for friction, to keep it from sliding around. Both belt loops snap with strong metal fasteners. When closed, a little flat cloth handle on top. A very handsome, useful little pouch, for not a lot of $$$.

My only concern is keeping water and debris from creeping in from the open sides. I'm not typically a ground-crawler, but if you get dirty, so will your shells, if that's an issue at all.

Purchased January 2016 for $9.31 from Amazon seller Allen Company. So far, everything I've used with their name on it has been great!

I bought two, and will be getting at least a couple more. Pictured here using 150g .308 Winchester rounds, about 2.75 inches (7cm) long.

High quality, multi carry capabilities, very durable

These are good ammo pouches. And an excellent way to carry and protect extra ammo. I bought these specifically for my 45/70 ammo. The pouches are made from ripstop nylon. With military style snap closures. The top of the pouches have a loop handle. While the back of the pouches have two belt type attachment's, both with snap button closures. So it's easy to connect them to most anything. An ammo belt, rifle sling. Virtually anything you want. Also the elastic closure with the military style clip closure, wraps completely around the ammo pouch adding yet another option for carrying the ammo pouch. These are excellent for carrying your ammo and keeping it covered and protected. And easily accessible. For the price, absolutely fantastic. Very slim profile, even loaded with 45/70 shells. They will fit in the back of my Levi's. I would recommend these to any and everyone that uses bolt action or lever action rifles, as a quick way to access additional ammo. For the price I don't think you can own too many. Great for shooters bags. These would work for many calibers of ammo. .30 caliber and up.

Holds 30-06 perfectly. I also like that it has NO Velcro...don't need that noise while trying to be quiet on a hunt. The elastic that holds the clip could be a little heavier duty, but if it stretches out, I'll just sew a new, better one on. Has 2 belt loops with snaps, for easy off in the field...really like it !!

Great Value, keeps rounds secure

I have an older model of this with Velcro I use for my 30-30 during hunting. It held ammo fine, and my only complaint was it's a bit loud to open the Velcro in the field.

This model fixes that issue. It's easy to open, and silent. I'm using it for 45-70 gov't, which is a pretty fat shell. They are snug side by side, but it beats having rounds banging around in your hunting jacket, or carrying the box.

Well made, good quality and sufficiently secures the rounds in the loops so they do not shake or come out. I would have made the item so rounds are staggered and it would have reduced the bulk some but it is doing the job and gives me about all I need for a day hunt in my local mountains.

I don't like storing ammo in their cardboard boxes after finding a box of shells ruined by a box that got wet somehow and also attracted silverfish. Unfortunately there are not a whole lot of options out there for a cartridge pouch like this. A box of twenty is heavy and bulky. And cardboard doesn't like to get wet. Fortunately Allen makes these. Allen has been around a long while and makes good products - so I knew in advance I wouldn't be disappointed.

I purchased two of these for myself and my son. They do the job. We can carry extra rifle ammo into the field now. They hold a variety of different center-fire calibers. i carry 30.06 in mine and my son has his loaded with 45-70...

This ammo case is nice, well thought out, I'm adding it to my combat vest outfit, as they say "More Bullets", really it's a nice rifle ammo case, both my 308 cal. and 30-30 Winchester Ammo fit nicely in it, and it will probably work for many other rifle caliber ammo too. I give it (5* Rating).

Bought these to hold .410 shotgun shells. They fit beautifully with no sliding about. Would be nice if they made an OD green one, though. Fits nicely on a standard belt with minimal movement. Especially love the snap buckle instead of velcro, which everything seems to have nowadays.
