Your dog will love it!

I've been so excited to get this. We have 8 dogs (5 large, 1 medium, 2 small) 3 of our dogs love the water.

Delivery was supposed to be between 3:00-6:00 and arrived at 2:00. Great surprise. When the driver carried it out over his head I was a bit worried since other pictures on here showed it wrapped and boxed. Mine came with no box or anything.

Since we just got this a few hours ago I'll come back and update later. For now though- At first I was disappointed in the size but that quickly went away. Because it's shaped like a bone - and not a circle it allows multiple dogs to lay length wise and spread all out.

It took about 20 minutes to fill with water. I haven't tested the drain but the quality looks great! The drain did come covered with cardboard and tape.

It's been filled for about 3 hours in direct sunlight. It just hit 96 degrees here. I went out just now and touched the water and it's nice and cool, not freezing but not warm.

So far we are super pumped! It is a lot of money for a dog pool being that we don't have a human pool but it's long enough that if I wanted to I could grab a pillow and sunbathe in that sucker!!! Our dogs played hard for about 30 minutes, laid in the water for about 10 and have been sound asleep for an hour. AN HOUR!!!

Leaky Gasket Poor Install; Otherwise Cute Pool
by Heather B (3 out of 5 stars)

The pool itself is the best design by far, and I actually like the smaller size as it looks more aesthetically pleasing. However, as soon as we put water in (within probably 5 minutes of getting the package), the gasket leaked. We had to go to Home Depot and get another gasket "Tub Stopper Gasket #58482" which did the trick. However, for the price of the tub this should have been done properly in the first place and would have been caught if tested. If getting a new gasket didn't resolve the issue immediately (thank you previous poster who had the same problem with solution) we would have returned this and rated it one star. My suggestion is to reduce the price for as-is or actually have this issue resolved during quality control.

Highly recommend this dog pool!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE THIS POOL!!! I have two Great Danes and one is a real water lover. I've got through several kiddie pools while he was smaller but now my puppy is over 140 lbs. so those kiddie pools, while cheap enough, just wouldn't hold up. He likes to "dig" when he's in the pool and this one is tough enough to handle it. Yeah, it was a chunk of $$$ but at the end of the day, the quality is there. It has a drain that you can attach a hose to, so emptying is easier too. I run the water into my plants or one of my french drains. I'm in Florida so this pool will get a real workout. I'm building a deck for it too.

It was on back order but I placed my order anyway. It came within a month from the original order date, although no one said how long it would be on back order. The only gaff was the phone call I got from Civa Company asking when I wanted delivery. I had no idea who they were so I almost hung up on them, thinking it was a scam. The caller finally said - dog pool? - and it clicked. Would have been better for me to get notification that pool was coming and that I would receive a call from this company. Again, delivery problem. The pool needed to be signed for. I have no idea why but it is a large item so maybe that was it. I had to find a neighbor who was home, to sign for the pool. If you know these things ahead of time, you can avoid the confusion. Other than that, no issues with actual pool.

I have one very happy (albeit soggy) Great Dane! :)

Top Dog Pool in the Neighborhood
by Pepi (5 out of 5 stars)

My 125 pound Rottie LOVES this pool, he has many puppy friends come over and they all have a great time. We've had this 3 seasons, and Dante has chewed on it, pulled it across the deck and it's has still held up. A few hole on the bottom have been duck taped, but 3 years of wear and tear and it's still going strong.

Leaked at the drain gasket
by J.S. (3 out of 5 stars)

The pool arrived a few days after the estimated delivery date which was a little frustrating. It came only packaged in a bag, and did not have the cardboard piece to protect the top that I saw in another reviewers picture. Because of the lack of packaging the top of the pool was mildly scuffed. I can live with that because it's a dog pool, but it's still not what I would expect on a pool this expensive.

Once I filled it with water I noticed that the pool was leaking from the drain area. In order to fix this I had to install another gasket on the inside of the pool where the drain is. The problem with the pool I got is that the drain opening is not flat, I was able to see spots where the gasket was not seated properly against the pool even after tightening the drain. Not a huge deal, and a simple fix, but again not what I would expect from a pool this expensive.

I have pictures that I will upload that show the issue with the drain.

On a positive note the pool stays cool in the NC heat, and my dog loves it. It is way more durable than the smaller circular dog pool that it replaced.

My Ducks Love It
by Lucy (5 out of 5 stars)

It's plenty big for my five ducks and they love it.

Since ducks are very messy, I change the water often. However, it's supper easy to do. I just hook up my garden hose and use the water for my garden.

It is light weight but sooooo sturdy that takes everyday heavy uses. I bought it in early 2015 and it still looks like new. I'm sure it'll last a long time.

The only thing it could improve is that they should have smooth inside walls and bottom. The designs and letters made it hard to scrub.

Awesome product

My two labs can destroy a big box store $20 kids pool in one hour. I have spent a lot on those cheap throw away plastic pools. This pool is now a few years old and is still as durable as the day it arrived. They try digging through it and other than a few scratchs it is still solid. It is expensive to those that may not see the value in no replacements for many years. To me and I'm sure many other dog lovers, it's worth the cost when you know you only need to buy one.

My dog LOVES this pool!
by P. Johnson (5 out of 5 stars)

This might be only the 2nd review I've ever written--in fact I hate that just about every purchase one makes these days comes with a follow up request to review the item.

However, after having my dog come in dripping wet and happy after going out to play in "his" pool this morning--which happens frequently, and on hot days, multiple times--I had to write to say how glad I am that I got this for him. The dripping wet is not always a pleasure but his evident enjoyment is. He's a large dog (80 pounds) and I'm certain he would have destroyed a cheap kiddie pool by now (something I considered getting). This is extremely sturdy yet lightweight, and drains easily (although here drought ridden SoCal I generally water the plants when the water gets dirty) and cleans up very easily, even when I've let dirt settle in it for a while.

He loves when we throw balls in there, but even when we don't initiate play, he will go out on his own to splash around and have fun.

Delivery took a while to arrange because of scheduling conflicts, but the freight carriers were great about following up to find a time. They uncrated it for me and took away the packaging as well--white glove service.

DOG LOVES IT! BEST PURCHASE EVER!
by Anni (5 out of 5 stars)

The pool arrived yesterday, and today my Golden Retriever Mix 35 lb. puppy had a BLAST!

The carrier was so nice to set the box in the garage. When I saw how big the box was I anticipated the pool to be heavy and not easy to handle. But to my surprise it is lightweight, yet a very solid heavy duty product.

It is also very nice looking, but most important: it is a well made and smart design!

I know my dog loves water and enjoys her grooming showers, though she got a bit scared at first by "this thing", so I placed the pool in our living room and tossed some treats into it, which she picked walking very carefully over this new surface. Then we did a few "Go track!" exercises with higher value treats to get her accustomed to the pool.

After a couple hours we got the pool out on the porch, filled it 1/2 with water, tossed some floating toys in, and oh boy she went crazy happy in the water for several hours. We live in Florida so the bath and the water play were extremely refreshing for the dog. Previously I used to fasten a hose to a chair outside and make a kind of rain for her, but it was not the same as having her own pool, and using so much water didn't feel environmentally good either.

First she walked in the water, then she jumped, dragged her toys in and out of the pool, then discovered she can splash! so we had to back off a bit. Then she figured she could jump into the pool from a papasan chair standing next to, and yahoo! another "happy hour" :)

It was such a thrill to watch my dog having so much fun. Thank you so much, you have made both the puppy and their owners filled with joy.

Living in Florida, this pool is a cooling heaven for our dog, and a great play and exercise time as well. She is so happy when playing in her pool, having hours of pure doggie fun, and for this I would be willing to pay even double the price in a heartbeat.

The pool is very roomy for a 35 lb. dog, and it looks as there will still be plenty space when she grows up to about twice her size.

When the pool time was over, emptying and cleaning it was a breeze. The drain works very well for almost all of the water, then you have to just level the pool a bit till all water is out. That is when I really appreciated how lightweight this pool is. I also placed it vertically, rinsed it with hose and wiped clean with a cloth. Looks like new, no single scratch mark after so much wild romping - this pool is a really good quality. If you dog likes water and you got the space outdoors, just get it. Close your eyes, pay the price and enjoy seeing your dogs having time of their lives. It's worth it.

My only concern is, the brass cap for the drain is not attached to the pool in any way, so I will have to make sure not to lose this part, unless it is possible to replace it. Anyway, it does not matter much, if it somehow gets lost, I will figure out something.

As I am writing my review, there is a one very happy and totally exhausted dog sleeping at my feet.

Since the pool is so easy to fill up and to empty and clean, there will be pool time here throughout the whole summer. THANK YOU!

Awesome dog pool!!
by moonlightjourney (5 out of 5 stars)

This is a very well made, sturdy pool! We have four large dogs (80 pounds plus each) and they adore this. They don't all go in it at once and they're too tall to actually swim in it but they love jumping in and out, getting as wet as possible. The brass drain & screw-on drain cap is a big bonus since you can let most of the water out (to water the lawn) then lift it up (two people would be best) to dump out the rest of the water. We move the pool to another spot after rinsing the dirt out of it so the grass doesn't yellow in the same spot. This pool is expensive but I think it's worth every penny!
