I recently took a 70 mile trip on off-road trails and gravel county roads and this mount stayed in place on the dash where I placed it, even on the 12% grade rock hill I climbed up. This worked far superior to the suction cup phone mount that I had tried before. I may buy another to modify the base and mount it on my kayak. The only negative I have is there is no adjusting the volume and sometimes it is hard to hear the speaker.

This gives a flexibility in taking the unit from vehicle to vehicle or hiking etc. It is a bit bulky, but we have two of them, as it can be charged on this base at home and the other one left in the vehicle. It snaps in place securely and allows for viewing.

I like the stability on the dash and good voice quality. Over 1200 miles on our first trip it never moved an inch. Consistency of the base material seems good over a wide range of temperatures. I saw one reviewer prior to buying mine concerned about the base melting to the dash. I monitored closely and it does not seem to be a concern at all.

Great product for the garmin 600 or 650. It does slide around on the dash on the dirt 2 tracks I use it on but it still is a worthwhile product.

Use all the time in my chevy pickup and my wifes HHR. Neither have a data screen but this mount is great for those type of vehicles.

I use this with a Garmin Montana, works well. I already have 3 Nuvi's so I don't use the street mapping software but this works very well on Class II ATV's, sits on the dash and stays put.
