Love it. A little coconut oil (or whatever you want to use) to keep the rice from sticking is all you need to have tons of fun using this press.

WORKS GREAT - nice appetizers - the stickier the rice you use the better. I suggest nishiki brand with a bit of Mirin for flavour and sweetness of the final product and it helps the seaweed stick better to the rice.

It does what it's supposed to. (you'll need sticky rice to make it work)

Of course, you have to ask yourself: do I really need another gadget?

Makes a good gift.

Awkward. Somewhat messy. Results do not look overly "professional", more cute than chic. The pressure required to make sharp edges, furthermore, compresses the rice into overly compacted, somewhat gummy cubes. I like the concept more than the performance (or maybe, it's me, the "performer"; perhaps, in time, with practice, I'll eventually get the hang of it).
