Cute idea, didn't work well for my dog

If the dog would stay under it, it would work pretty well, but he's so miserable in the rain that I have to drag him over to a pee spot. He wants to forget the pee and just head back in the house. So the umbrella ends up being pulled away from him as he's fighting the other direction to escape back into the house. Brolly is a bit on the small size, too. My pup is only 16 pounds, but he's short and long and he doesn't get complete coverage. Other than that, I thought it was a cool idea.

Ha! I am laughing as I remember my dog using this the last time in rained. It does it's job beautifully! However, my dog was terrified of it. He thought it was an object constantly about to touch him. HOWEVER, he hates the rain and likes 3 hour long walks where he can pee the tiniest bit on everything he can find. So he slowly learned to deal with it.

I wish I could have adjusted the umbrella on the leash though so it wasn't so low..

This is an awesome idea! And it works great for those little furbabies that refuse to potty when it is raining outside. My dog was a little scared of it at first as it hovered over her but soon got the idea and was walking like a pro. It keeps my baby dry up on top so I just have to dry her lil belly and feet. The only bad thing is, is you can't hold an umbrella over yourself and the pet umbrella over your dog at the same time really. Especially, if it is windy. So I just get bundled up with a hat and coat and we go on our way.

It terrified my dog. She won't budge when it's open. But she is a nervous dog; shakes constantly in the car or on the subway. Perhaps it would have worked if I had introduced it gradually. But there were no instructions with it. It's a great design. It opens and closes easily and looks like it would be great for a long-haired dog that needs a lot of grooming after coming in from the rain.

I have nothing but praise for the company. They responded promptly to my complaint and immediately credited the money back to my Amazon account. I suggest you try using it first as a leash on a day that isn't raining and gradually open it as the dog gets more used to it. But maybe a less skittish dog won't mind it.

Covers pet from rain but poor design

Works to cover pet as stated. You are able to walk and see your pet. The umbrella is cheaply made. The biggest issue is having to hand slide the umbrella open and closed. It never occurred to me that an umbrella would be without a button on the handle to control opening and closing. There is a lead attached to the inside of umbrella I wish was removable without damaging either the lead or umbrella. I will keep this purchase however I would not recommend it nor will I order again. The purchase arrived on time and was boxed properly.

Works great. Toy poodles stays dry in rain. Easy to hook on dog collar then open umbrella. I wish the chair frrom umbrella was atrudy. Somewhat not sure how long it will last or return policy.

Ridiculous, but actually cute and useful

This is a silly product, but I think my dog truly appreciates it. She hates getting wet and raincoats don't keep her head or tail dry. It definitely came in handy when she had stitches we needed to keep dry. I wish the chain that connects the umbrella to your dog's harness or collar were stronger. If you have a dog who pulls hard on a leash, they may break it and break free. Be ready to attract some attention - I had someone drive past me who saw it who then turned around and followed me and asked for a picture of my dog with her umbrella.

The dogs are terrified of it. The chain is too short and thin. This was a spontaneous purchase that I couldn't resist trying out. Unfortunately I kept it too long and couldn't return it, but I was never able to get my dogs comfortable with it - and they've gotten used to a lot of my quirky ideas (strollers, bike carriers, paddleboards, sledding, purses - where I go, they go). Also, even though I thought it was pretty hilarious, I did feel like an idiot when I tried it out in public.

Welll- Seeing it just rained, I used it ONE TIME!, and the handle just broke from where it screws into the little round piece! 😣😮Ž I'm VERY- dissapointed! I WAS, very happy, getting this for my Service Dog and he WAS using this well, UNTIL, it broke! 😣😞Ž Not Happy... This SHOULD BE made more sturdy. He hates the rain, but did go outside under this umbrella! It IS POSSIBLE... maybe, this umbrella was just faulty?? I don't know but I THINK, Amazon should replace this for me- NO CHARGE!!
