Product Description
The Swinging Sticks Desktop sculpture is produced by the original manufacturer of the famous Swinging Sticks as seen on Pepper Potts desk in the movie Iron Man II. Swinging, flowing, noiselessly circling in perpetual-like motion, they seem to defy gravity. The sticks circle fluidly and create a relaxing and almost hypnotic effect. The aluminum arms seem to rotate in contradiction to the laws of physics, changing directions and speed for no apparent reason.Features
- SLEEK, SOPHISTICATED DESIGN: The Swinging Sticks Original Kinetic Energy Sculpture seemingly defies gravity as the double pendulum creates a fluid, relaxing rotation designed to change speeds and direction for no apparent reason. This high-quality, museum-style motion sculpture gives the illusion of perpetual motion designed to baffle and amaze all onlookers.
- BEAUTIFUL ART: Perfect for any environment, The Swinging Sticks is ideal for conference rooms, offices, waiting rooms, display windows, and foyers. This sculpture will provide relaxing entertainment and be the center of attention no matter where.
- HOW IT WORKS: Powered by 4 AA batteries (included), the aluminum sticks revolve in a mysterious, perpetual motion, creating an entertaining hypnotic effect.
- NEVER-ENDING: Continuously rotating, The Swinging Sticks is designed to remain in motion unassisted. The constant, fluid motion is designed to appear like the sculpture is changing speeds and directions while continuously rotating.
- SILENT: A beautiful piece of art, this kinetic sculpture operates completely silent and is well recommended for quiet office and medical environments.

Definitely unique, but hard to buy at its priceby Yuki (5 out of 5 stars)

This was one of those items that went in and out of my shopping cart over the course of a month before I finally bought it.
As far as motion sculptures go, this one is incredibly captivating in its simplicity. There's not much to it when it comes out of the box and goes on your desk or shelf. Clean lines and nearly silent motion. I've had it for months now, and still find it interesting to watch. I always hope it will get stuck upright, but alas, gravity finds a way.
The price point still seems insanely high for what you're getting, but that's true broadly speaking for unique decorations. With the near silent operation and long battery life (still haven't changed the batteries after a couple months) it's clear there's some care involved in its construction.
Look elsewhere.

Is NOT silent... makes a low number when large stick hits the bottom ... I contact support, they didnt care enough to even respond... not worth the money. Look elsewhere... Not recommended spending this kind of money with bad service, and its not silent... annoying if anything,
Wow....I love this thing.

Even at times when I am stuck on a conference call for 2 hours I can watch this thing on my desk and it has a weird calming effect. It has no pattern, and it is totally silent. I don't know what else to say, this is just an extremely cool thing.Yes, I put it in and out of my Amazon cart a couple of times before I pulled the trigger for this price...but now, honestly, I would not take this thing off my desk for three times the price.
This is a work of art.

The price is absurd if you place it in the context of utility because it doesn't really have any. Utility is not the purpose here. This is not an appliance, it is a beautiful piece of kinetic art. It looks great, grabs the attention of guests, and it runs for months on the same set of batteries. I've paid more for paintings that I enjoyed less. If you think this sculpture is a good piece of art, the price will be worth it. If it doesn't suit your tastes, or you don't believe in paying for art, it's not for you. This is, however, my favorite piece of art in my house.

This is not a toy! At first I was suprised at the price, but it is well worth it. I bought several other battery operated devices and all ate batteries and destoyed themselves or broke within a few months. This unit operates absolutely SILENTLY and ran on the original 4 AA batteries for well over 6 months. High quality, durable, heavy device. I highly recommend!

I think this thing is pretty cool. I will say that the batteries only last about a month so keep that in mind if you plan to leave it on all the time. I think it would be better if you could get it with a power cord so you wouldn't have to change out the batteries so often.

This is the exactly same one in Iron Man 2 on Pepper's desk, when Tony brought her strawberries. It is a very intrigue and delicate product. If someone is interested in science-like kool stuff, this will be a great gift.
