Great size for a bong.by Madd Hatter (5 out of 5 stars)

I bought the large size. You know how when you're trying to fill your bong with ice and you have to break up the cubes so they fit? These are a great size for my bong without having to break them up.
A miss

For those desiring to use this tray for actual ice, take a moment to peruse the previous reviews and note that half the folks are utilizing the tray for garlic or herb prep/freezing. For this purpose it appears to succeed quite well. But as a gal whose ice maker recently went bust, but who failed to read the reviews, this tray is a giant miss. First, it's cute--should the appearance of your freezer accessories be a make it or break it deal. Probably not. But it's worth noting because when I received the tray I actually let out a wee girly squeal. I love ice, I eat ice like it's a required food group, and I go through a LOT of it. Just ask my dentist. So the first strike goes against me as I didn't pay close enough attention to the dimensions. It's tiny!! It makes enough ice for 2 regular drinks....1 drink if you're greedy OR pouring a warm beverage. This teeny ice cannot withstand your freshly brewed tea, just sayin'. Melt city.
I have fully embraced the silicone trend in kitchen ware so I was expecting the same brilliant function from this hex tray. Alas, the ice is just waaay too difficult to remove. I don't feel like having a big debate or holding my tongue just right to deliver ice from a tray to my glass. Nope. So because there's so little of it, because it's hard to pop out, and because my old hard plastic trays are, I begrudgingly admit, far superior in every way, it's with a heavy heart that I recommend skipping this. It's too pricy for what your getting (and will make your rectangle cubes feel so square), and though I appreciate it's dishwasher safe, even the 'wait 90 seconds' rule after removing from the freezer doesn't help out the Hex. I also purchased some new standard size Rubbermaid trays, sold here on Amazon, and for an equally frozen water based product with less hassle for removal, they blow this guy outta the water. Sure, it's boring old hard white plastic. But it works.
This tray is only for super hard core fans of 6 sided things. Tho personally feel it fails even for novelty purposes. But if you have patience, only need teeny ice a few times a week, and like to keep a hipster freezer compartment, by all means. Oh, and apologies for the geometry humor.
Not just for ice cubes!

I used this as a craft project for a beehive toy. I covered everything with felt and added bees. I cut several hexagons in the back so the bees could be pushed through.
Forget about those old plastic ice trays with broken ice for good!!

I got the Outset Silicone Hexagon Ice Cube Tray, Large Cubes and we love these for our tumblers! Perfect size, not to big and not too small. And the silicone is actually a good thickness so I dont see it getting any tears or holes any time soon. Also the ice comes out every time with a simple push on the back of the tray. I shall never again use those dumb plastic trays! The shape fits nicely in the tumbler. I only have to fill it twice a day with this ice, 4am for work, and 6 pm at home. That's awesome! Normal ice tray cubes I had to do anywhere from 4-5ish times. Might just be in my head. but oh well, they still work great :p lol!
Not worth the money; hard to get the ice cubes out

I ordered this expecting something good considering it has a good 4 star rating. This product is terrible! The silicon material makes it very difficult to get the ice cubes out and considering there are a bunch of small ones in there, it take a while to get them all out. Plastic ice cube trays freeze water in such a way where any bending/twisting will dislodge them. With this one, bending and twisting this renders poor results. Because of the rubberness of the material, when you twist the tray to get the cubes out, it only holds them in somewhere else (bending it outwards will clamp the icecubes at the base, which means they wont fall out). As I said, this is not a good product.
These are not large cubes

These cubes are smaller than your lead to believe. about 1" hexagons but not bad. I use them to cool my morning beverage and 1 does the job nicely. I like the tray and would order another if and when this one finally fails.
These trays make super fun cubes

These trays make super fun cubes. They interlock when they are floating on top of your beverage and have a very fun, beehive kind of effect.
The trays are floppy so you need to put them on a cookie tray in the freezer to keep them from spilling.
Unlike traditional ice trays you cannot just twist the tray and have them all pop out. You have to push each one out from the back, so it is not a tray I use for everyday ice , but I love them for special occasions.

We have been using these for about 6 weeks now and really enjoy them. They have fast become our favorite ice cube trays, over the traditional plastic ones and the larger cube silicone ones. We did quickly learn to fill these from our freezer door dispenser ( the ice machine broke but the fridge is too old to bother sinking money into that repair right now). If we filled them with tap water they tasted terrible.

I realize I'm using this tray for a more niche purpose, but it serves that purpose quite well. I have been hunting for silicone molds that are well-suited for making dark chocolate blueberries. These are a good size for the medium-sized berries but are just a little too small for the biggest berries. Relatively easy to remove once the chocolate has set, although, as one can imagine, a bit difficult to clean due to the many small corners. I didn't notice any smells, unpleasant or otherwise.
TLDR (Too Long, Didn't Read):
-Good size for fitting medium-sized blueberries
-Not too hard to pop out
-A little difficult to clean off chocolate by hand
-Didn't notice any smells

I thought the hexagons would fit in my bong, big bummer when they didn't. But they make me look fancy when I have guests
