Must have for Star Wars fans!by Autumn's time (5 out of 5 stars)

I bought this for my best friend for Christmas and she was ecstatic! It takes 3 AAA batteries that are not included, we popped some in and it came on right away! We took it outside immediately to play with it. You can keep pressing the button to choose different colors like blue, red, yellow, and more or you can set it to color change on its own automatically. It also has a flashlight on the bottom handle. Not the brightest but would be better than nothing. This is a must for any Star Wars fan or just someone who likes a unique umbrella.

This umbrella is seriously awesome! I purchased one for my friend and my husband was instantly jealous when it arrived. It is a great quality and has so many color changing options! I have purchased other "cool" umbrellas like this in the past and they were not good quality so I am so happy that this one is great quality. A must have for anyone slightly nerdy or awesome! It is also nice and large (my friend is over 6 foot and not a small guy and was pleased with the area of coverage it gives!)
It lights up any storm!

Lightweight and eye-catching. This umbrella makes me look forward to rain. It is also nice to carry around in the evening when it isn't raining. It is handy for hailing cabs/buses or just to light my way.
The plastic does feel a bit more flexible than I'd like, but it hasn't shown any signs of failing. I also would have preferred a larger size, but I think maybe the illuminated shaft might already be near its structural limit.
If this umbrella does eventually fail, I think I'd be happy to replace it with whatever the current model from ZHOL is.
happy with my purchase

I haven't owned an umbrella since I was a child. Living in California we don't have much need for these things. With El Nino hitting us this year I thought it would be a good time to finally get one! With that being said, I am totally happy with this umbrella. Good price and surprisingly good build on this product. The shaft is not super bright so don't be expecting to send light signals during the day but at night time it's quite visible. I like the flashlight in the handle too.
Doesn't Light Up

Came on time, in good packed condition. Inserted brand-new AAA batteries, and though the flashlight on the base of the saber works fine, the LED shaft (the best part) did not light up once. The LED's must have been fastened improperly. Having to return it.
Really fun umbrella that takes common AAA batteries

This is a VERY cool umbrella. The picture really doesn't give it proper justice. It will cycle through different colors (many color options actually) and will continuously change colors if you set it so.
I would point out that if you tap the tip of the umbrella on the ground (say, to get the water off), you'll turn it on. Nice feature but tapping it again does not turn it off. Just be aware that you'll kill the batteries if you tap and forget.
Second is the suggested batteries. It takes Triple A batteries (AAA). Takes 3 of them. They're used in small alarm clocks typically. I'm saying this because Amazon (and a few others) have said it takes a totally different battery and it does not. Just AAA x 3. Can get them just about anywhere.
Timed with the release of Star Wars, a party hit!

We went to one of those Christmas parties where you steal gifts and generally most people bring something funny or something of value. With the release of the new Star Wars just about the time of the party, this umbrella was a huge hit. It also has a practical side by lighting your way, flashlight is in the bottom of the handle, and also giving drivers warning that you are there with the illuminated umbrella shaft. I don't know if I could fight a Jedi or any other Star Wars character with it, but it has a certain panache to it.
May the force be with you when it rains!

I adore my umbrella!!! Even though I can't use it during the day because it's bright out and no one can't see it turned on, the umbrella is very big and it keeps me dry. However at night that's when I have a little fun! I love the fact that you can press the button on the handle and change the color you want. It goes from blue to link to green to purple to green etc! There's an option if you want all the colors to change at the same time. However, since I'm more in the "darkside" I prefer to leave it on red!! Overall this is great buy!! I feel like a sith or sometimes a Jedi when I'm using it!

Cool umbrella.Changes colors when you press the button functions properly and is a show stopper in the dark. Wish it was a little bigger for those strong thunderstorms but overall a nice product.
*Edit:As batteries die the colors choices seem to only become blue, green and red just replace the batteries

I wasn't aware that you can change the color of the light and also have it flash the different colors. It also has an LED flashlight at the bottom of the handle. I bought two for my kids Easter baskets. :)
