The PG-10 PageGlow from Carson Optical is a compact, portable, ultra-bright LED Book-light. The PageGlow dimensions are 7.25" x 5.375" x .875". The PageGlow Book-light includes an ergonomic Thumb Groove and detachable Page Clip to allow for easy placement on reading material. It includes 3 Super-Bright LED Lights that spread evenly across the page without disturbing others. The PageGlow also includes a 3 Stage Dimming Switch for desired brightness. Rechargeable version

Is a bit smaller than I was expecting, but it is still wonderful! Complete illumination of the page with 3 different levels of light settings. The photo I posted is at the highest light setting, but the 1st level was plenty bright enough. The arcs of light are ONLY in the photo from my phone's camera, you can't see them with the naked eye while looking at it. Wish I could find it in a larger size! <3

Perfect for reading in bed!

I received his yesterday and I really love it! My old gooseneck-style book light is brighter than my bedside lamp and kept my husband awake, but this new book light puts out just the right amount of light for me to read without disturbing him. I also love the fact that it came with a storage pouch. Turning the page is a little tedious, as I have to move the book light out of the way each time, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. I purchased the rechargeable version and when I first went to plug it in I could not get the cable end into the hole. I had to open the hole out some with an exacto knife before it would finally fit.

Where's the larger model?

I love this thing. Works great, bright light, holds a charge a good long time, the choice of three brightness settings is pretty nice, as is the little sleeve/bag it comes with. Fits mass market paperbacks just about perfectly, my only complaint is that I can't find a bigger version for my bigger books. I can still use this one on them, but not nearly as comfortably. Apart from that, great purchase.

Scratched too easily.

Overall I really like this book light. The rechargable version has excellent battery life and it provides pretty even lighting. I use it mainly when reading manga and it works well for that size book.

My problem though, is that the clear panel scratches extremely easily. Like it is made of some crazy soft plastic or something. I am honestly not sure what could have even scratched it as it goes straight from the carrying pouch to a book for use and back to the pouch.

Once you lay it on the page and begin reading it isn't that noticeable but my ocd kicks in everytime I get it out or put it away. I'm not going to bother with returning it but it does irritate me.

Very neat little book light!

I like how it makes the page glow instead of having a hanging light above your book which is more noticeable in a room you wish to keep dark where others might be sleeping.

A couple things I was curious about....

First off I thought I might be able to place the panel behind the page I was reading so that it would glow thru essentially , but that did not work the best. You really need to place the panel ON TOP of the page you're reading.

But the good thing is you really don't need to flip the panel from left to right page, I found that keeping the panel on the right side it would still provide sufficient lighting to the left side . So you don't have to move the panel as much.

And for larger books the panel may not cover the entire page but the lighting fans out so it will adequately illuminate the entire page so I found the size of the panel to be just fine.

Very good light. Doesn't upset other people and with multiple settings is very adaptable. Easy to use for a small book and also a big one.

UPDATE:

After using this and it going directly from the bag to my book, it has somehow gotten scratched up after about 1-3 weeks of use. It makes no sense as there's nothing coming into contact with it besides the paper and the nice bag that it comes in and is supposed to be stored in. I've been sent a replacement and we'll see if it gets scratched up too or not. It is not very difficult to read the book with the scratches, but it is inconvenient and not very high quality.

Truly is rechargeable

This is a fantastic light wedge all the little features add up a well thought out useful product for reading paperback books in low light or in bed. I sustained a neck injury in a car accident and could no longer read in bed at night. This light wedge enabled me is sit in bed In the proper position for my neck. Its rechargeable ( I still added batteries); has a clip you more to the top of the light bar to stabilize the light on the book, has three levels of light to chose from, and an hand/ thumb holding area at the bottom of the device. It takes a little learning curve to get use to turning the pages and moving the light wedge. I hope they make a larger model for books bigger than paper back.

My 10 year old likes it!

My 10-year-old son uses it before going to bed every night, he enjoys it, but my room is directly in front of his and we sleep with doors open and when he moves it to turn the page the whole room lights up like he's waving a flashlight around. Otherwise it seems to do it's job.

Works great but really too small for normal sized books. Really like it and use it every night, but a larger size would be much more user/book friendly.
