Misleading picture but was not disappointed!
by Brandi Hoskins (4 out of 5 stars)
December 9, 2015

First off the instructions were like reading IKEA furniture instructions. They were a little difficult to read but once we got into a rhythm it was ok.

The bars are not made out of metal, which is sort of looks like in the pictures. The are made out of a hard plastic. So definitely durable but not as durable as we thought. There is some bending required when putting these together so I assume that's why they are plastic.

The 1st picture I shared is with the 50 balls it comes with inside the ball pit area. They cover maybe 1/4 of the bottom.

The 2nd picture listed is of the back where the stairs to the slide are.

The 3rd and last picture is an overhead view of the whole set. (Please note we had already purchased about 200 balls prior to buying this. The balls in the last picture are the 200 we originally had plus the 50 it came with. I'd say the 200 fill it nicely.)

The picture on the listing makes the balls seem much bigger and seems like they fill the bin. Which is misleading. The balls are the size of tennis balls and the product picture makes it look like a softball size. I will say the balls are good quality. They don't get deformed when you squeeze them. They pop right back up to their original round state.

My daughter is 2 and she is able to get in and out of the pit and up and down the slide by herself.

All in all I'd say this was a home run for a present. Was not disappointed other than the misleading picture and the amount of balls.

Great quality toy

I didn't expect to love this thing. The pics they have do not do it justice at all. It's so much bigger than I thought it would be and it's incredibly sturdy. It was a complete pain to put together but took less than an hour. NOTE there is a little tool included to take the pieces apart if you mess up. I didn't notice this until I was already done and my thumbs hate me for it haha. That being said my daughter turns 2 in a week and has been 80% for height and 50% for weight her whole life and this toy is going to last her a long time! I'm 5'2" and 145lbs and I can stretch my legs completely out in the ball pit and go down the slide without this toy even beginning to bend or make any noise. One of the best 4am purchases I've made in a long time lol. Very recommend. Another note though is I have 460 balls total in these pics and ordered another 120 today, that should be about half full and give space for playing without them going everywhere.

Very Good Play Gym

Assembly was a lil complicated, instruction are a bit confusing. Took 1 hr to get it all together all by myself non stop.

Ball pit does not fill up with the balls that it brings. Balls are a bit on the cheap side too.

The yellow steps are not completely locked in but when my son steps and plays on them the do not move and they do not seem to cause trouble.

My son enjoys playing all around it it's more like monkey bars.

Slide is not to high not to steep it's quit low but good for a 1 yrs old learning to go down the slide.

My son is turning 2 and his a master at it and likes to climb up the slide and its low enough where I do not have to worry.

Did not have missing pieces. But did not have extra.

Awesome gift for 1 year old, but you'll need to buy way more balls
by f4iws6 (4 out of 5 stars)

My 1 year old loved this as a Christmas gift. The instructions are pretty sketchy and it took me about 2 hours to set up, because several times I installed things incorrectly and had to partially uninstall it. Maybe that's my fault, but nearly all the parts are identical looking so it is easy to miss something.

Anyway, the actual function of it is great. The slide is great, the steps up to the slide are good for a toddler, and the little yellow mesh basket provides an inordinate amount of fun to a kid for reasons I don't understand. I have two drawbacks to note, though. (1) You are only given 50 balls for the ball pit. Once you dump them in, you'll realize that you need about 400 balls, not 50. You can pick up more balls at toy stores but that is going to cost you around $100 more to get to the right amount (i.e. having the pit half way full). (2) There is no way for a small kid to get in and out of the ball pit. My 1 year old just kind of stands outside of it and shakes the structure when he wants to get in. I don't know of a perfect solution, but I think they could have installed some kind of little step stool or something to make it easier for a small toddler to get in and out. I know that leads to a whole new series of risks, because then your kid could potentially climb up the step and then fall head first into the ball pit. Regardless, it is a small annoyance that my kid cannot get in and out of the pit on his own when he wants to.

Kids loved it
by Rosie Peete (4 out of 5 stars)

Really cute and sturdy ball pit, definitely as described. Reason I am putting only 4 stars (which is generous) is because the kids love it but it is pretty difficult to put together, way too many pieces and only picture instructions. I took breaks but total was about 3 hours with breaks in between. It only comes with 50 balls I'd suggest buying 200-300 more (in my pic you'll see 150 total roughly).. I also added my own little basketball hoop and a recyclable bag because there was a gap I didn't feel comfortable with because of my 1 year old.

My son absolutely loves this. He just turned one (his bigger birthday gift) and he is climbing up and going down the slide like a pro (we just had to show him how). It's great because it tires him out and keeps him busy. We ordered extra balls. We have a total of 450 balls and it looks great. 50 balls come with the set. He has so much fun in it.

There are a lot of pieces but there is a system to it so it is not horrible putting together, it just takes time. When it's all put together it's pretty solid and it looks pretty cool. In person it is actually way cooler looking then in the product photo.

Fun, Quickly Shipped, Professionally packaged!!!

This is a quality fun product that my 2 yr old enjoys. It came with 50 balls enough to fill a small corner of the pit. We purchased 400 pit balls at 2.3 diameter. The balls only filled the pit halfway. Their is a discrepancy with the box picture and the instructions. The actual design per the instructions is a flushed front side vs what the box depicts. Please view the pictures. I would advise not to put the product together after work. It may take some time to complete.

I was really excited about this product when I order it. Once I opened the box and started to put it together, my excitement went downhill fast. The directions are inaccurate and considering a child is going to play on this, you would think the directions would be accurate. Child safety should be #1. But after over 4 hours of trying to decipher which parts go where and rebuilding sections 2 to 3 times after getting a few steps ahead, I was finally able to allow the children to play. Seems a bit flimsy after a few hours of the children playing in the so called ball pit. 50 balls doesn't even cover 1/3 of the floor of the ball pit, you will need a lot more if you would consider this to be a true "ball pit" The good thing is the slide and the storage netting to store away additional toys if needed. I guess for the price maybe someone would consider this worth it. I was just extremely frustrated with the lack of accuracy in the directions.

Lots of fun!

My Lo loves his play set!

Pros:
- very entertaining
- sturdy reliable for toddlers
- it doesn't take too much space
- it can be used by multiple children at the same time

Cons:
- the building directions is a joke! Very confusing and i found one error towards the end.
- like other reviews said the top yellow step comes out easily. It's very annoying having to pound it on every now and then.
- you will need to buy more balls for the pit! I got 1000 balls (ser picture) but 500 is a good amount.
- This set is for toddlers, bigger kids will most likely rip the fabric apart.

6 months in and stilling loving it

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Have had this for 6 months and my 18m still loves it and plays in it every day. Instruction are best read with a glass of wine but it's not that bad. After about a month of using it she was having a hard time getting out. With an other glass of wine in hand I dusted off the knex's skills I once owned and switched around the layout. Would love it they sold extra parts so you had options on how to lay it out but honestly overall it's been fabulous.
