Product Description

Don't be afraid to get your grill on this summer because the Better Grillin’ Scrubbin’ Stone makes swift and easy cleanup a breeze. Nobody wants to spend time slaving over a hot grill and then have to come back later to clean off stuck-on grime and grease. The Better Grillin’ Scrubbin’ Stone scours your grill quickly and efficiently, wearing away as it works, with powerful bactericidal properties that prevent the spread of bacteria such as E. coli, Salmonella, and other microorganisms, and leaves your grill fresh and clean for your next cookout. Made of 100% glass that's been heat-treated, the Better Grillin’ Scrubbin’ Stone is engineered similar to the formation of volcanic pumice stone with rigid properties that won't absorb liquids or steam, which contribute to the growth of harmful and dangerous bacteria. Pumice stone is extremely light weight but strong enough to be used as an abrasive, and like pumice stone, the Grill Stone wears down over time and can scratch some surfaces. You only need apply slight pressure to get results; the more pressure you apply, the faster the Scrubbin’ Stone will wear down. Thanks to the exclusive manufacturing process, a totally hygienic and bacteria free product is obtained, with powerful properties that remove encrusted grease and dirt, ideal to get rid of the most stubborn grime, particularly from flat-top griddles, grills, oven trays, and other kitchen or cooking utensils made of iron or steel. Better Grillin’ Scrubbin’ Stone is best used after the grill has cooled down and only warm to the touch.

Total Restoration of Grill!

Completely restored my three year old grill grates. Used to clean them with a box of Brillo pads and a headache but this product did the job so efficiently. Will definitely be keeping on hand for as needed cleaning. Would recommend cleaning in a deep sink so you can rinse stone residue off as you go, cannot use this at the grill without rinsing as the stone gets smaller as you go. Worth the price!

Just weird feel

One use, pretty much wore away half of it. I do not know why anyone would use these. I guess - might be good/small enough to take on a camping trip. But, really - my bigger scrub brush is not that much bigger. I guess you do not have to be concerned about leaving behind your good brush you use at home - if you take this camping, etc. It did remove a lot of build-up, but left its own chalk like dust on the grates.

Cleans efficiently but product wears down quickly

Being a die hard fan of the magic eraser for nearly all household cleanups, i have now been paired with its outdoor counterpart in the Magic-Stone grill cleaner.
Some advice when using this:
- wear gloves
- make sure there's enough proper ventilation (meaning, clean your grill grates outside with this)
- prepare the elbow grease( the stone does work but its not effortless)
- purchase a 3 pk

Now, I own and operate on an extremely frequent basis, a Weber Genesis Stainless s330 grill and this is the product i am basing my review.
After minimal grate cleaning through a long spring/summer/fall grillin season i decided to give the magic stone a go. I tried the manufacture "recommended" soap and warm water angle but lets be real here, months of baked on grease and residue needs a whole lot more. Enter "Magic Stone" and after a good 20 minutes of elbow grease and 2 bricks down, the grates look great. However, dont expect a factory fresh restoration.. you might even use 3-4 bricks to accomplish that, if possible. I say to load up on more than one because these bricks due wear down quickly especially if you have a lot of build up. Overall, I was impressed with what the magic stone can do and realized its the same concept as the magic eraser (essentially its sanding but with true and tried materials)

I reviewed 4 stars on this product due to how quickly the product wears down and the price point for 1 i believe could be a little cheaper

Works quite well with minimal effort
by Susan Clenin (5 out of 5 stars)

Works suprisingly well, and I hardly added any pressure to the block at all. I like it.

I'm not sure it will last a long time. I had already made some sizeable dents in it when I scrubbed the small part I did get to.

I'm going to do a full deep clean and see how much, if any, is left over on the 3-4 panels I have to scrub.

I actually might order more and scrub the insides as well.
*UPDATE*

It works well but it did not last long enough to get even just the racks done.

The grill I have at work is not super large. But it gets a lot of use. I would need about 6-7 of these to clean the whole thing.

And at $5 a piece. That would be quite pricy.

I like them. They work well. But for a grill that gets a lot of use it is not really cost efficient to use these.

Yep, It's Magic

My grill accumulated a lot of crud as a result of many cookouts. I tried to keep it as clean as possible with a wire brush and various cleaning pads and cleaners. I never could get the rack and grates to look like new. There was always a layer of permanent food residue, carbon and other debris that defied removal. I decided to give the Magic Stone Grill Cleaner a shot. It arrived as a light weight square without the grooves shown in the product illustration. I had serious doubts that this thing could do any good. Surprise! Surprise! This is truly a magic stone. It removed everything from the grill parts that I worked on and left them looking like new. The cleaning process did put grooves in the bottom of the stone and that helped to get the sides cleaned off as well.

I am now a true believer and highly recommend this item. I can't speak for any other uses this may have but for cleaning my grill it is a winner.

Works fantastic on grime and baked on food

Works fantastic on grime and baked on food. However, it does use a lot of product for each pass, so wears down quickly.

My husband grills a ton in the summer, and he uses this stone at least once every few weeks to clean off the grill. Works like a charm with very little effort!

Great Alternative to Metal Scrapers
by Mmccartney (4 out of 5 stars)
August 24, 2016

This product does what it says it will do, but leaves a white residue that should be washed off the grill before putting raw food on it. However, it does a great job of cleaning since it easily takes the shape of the area you are cleaning. I would buy this again because I do feel better knowing that I am not going to have metal bristles from other types of BBQ brushes in my food.

Does the job well enough
by Kris B (3 out of 5 stars)

I bought a couple of these because my wife was freaked out about getting bristles from grill brushes in the food our family eats. It cleans the grill well enough, but starts disintegrating and leaves a lot of residue behind on the grill grates. I'm not confident I want the gritty residue from these in my food either, so I wipe off my grill grates after using it. I'd almost rather just use a brush and wipe clean afterwards to ensure there's no bristles left behind, as the grill brush will last much longer.

All in all, it works, but it's not fantastic as you still have additional cleaning to do afterwards.

Good scrubber for deep cleaning your grill grates
by NoVAKim (5 out of 5 stars)
August 15, 2019

This scrub stone is perfect for the deep cleaning of your grill grates, when you are trying to get the layers of burned on residue off with soap and water. This is not a replacement for a grill scrubber that might be used to clean grates just prior to adding food. This scrubber sheds lots of material as you scrub with it and the grates should be rinsed and washed well after using before exposing to food items.

This scrubber will power through the most stuck on grime and char much better than a steel wool pad. I tried a steel wool pad first and it shredded within a minute on my dirty grates. I still had to use a lot of scrubbing power with this block, but not nearly as much as without. The block quickly conformed into the shape of my grate grooves. Probably around 1/4 of the block was gone and sitting in a pile in my sink by the time I cleaned my two iron grates. I will probably get about 2 more uses out of this block before it will be too small to be practical based on this experience.
