I think it must be the blue or something but the hummingbirds in my yard avoid this like it literally contains a curse. I actually feed hummingbirds all over my yard and this is practically the only thing I can't get them to go near even when I removed the other feeding stations.
Now it is very pretty, but the bottle isn't blue - it has a blue coating it seems, which even after a about three weeks where the sun only hits it a few hours a day seems like it may not last that long. I moved it out of the sun though (in part to see if its position was not to the birds liking) so I think that will be OK. The plastic at the base is flimsy and although it has been fine for the past few weeks it doesn't scream longevity.
For $20 its OK but again i don't think it is a universal "˜attraction' that the birds will have with it. It will depend if the birds like blue I guess and I would actually even give this another chance in another color just to see if that. As it stands I have something that the birds at my place go out of there way to avoid and could have bought them some deluxe seed or something.
Not blue glass!!

This is NOT blue glass! I loved this until the plastic coating on the glass started to peel off less than a year after hanging in my yard. This is simply a clear bottle that will start to look very ratty after several months. Also, there's nothing antique about it.
Beautiful feeder your hummingbirds will love

Love this brand of hummingbird feeder. The blue is absolutely stunning especially when the sun shines through it. The hummingbirds come right to my kitchen window. I'm not sure if the glass is actually blue glass, or painted but it looks really nice. The bottom is made in two pieces, one plastic and one metal and they fit together with no gaskets, so if you turn this sideways all the nectar will spill out. If you have it hanging upright it does not leak at all. The top of the bottle where you fill it is narrow, so I use a funnel and fill it with one part sugar to four parts water. The hummingbirds and I just love these feeders. The male hummingbird seems to prefer the blue, and the female the red.
Good for a week then broke and peeling

Disappointing! Plastic bottom is leaking the solution does not last a day in it, the blue coating is peeling off the glass pretty useless now. Going to have to buy replacement as my Hummingbirds have had a week out of it and are looking for feed, missed my time frame to return as I had this stored for a couple of weeks until the Weather was good :(
Beautiful hummingbird feeder but too inconvenient

I have very mixed feelings about this feeder but I ended up sending it back. Here are my thoughts:
Pros:
It is beautiful and it attracts hummingbird(s)! I had it up for a few days when I started getting regular visitor(s). I almost kept it for that fact alone!
It is a sturdy bottle and has a very surdy attachment at the top and I just looped a hanger through it and hung it from a tree limb and worked perfectly.
Cons:
It has lots of volume (which you don't really need because you're supposed to clean it every 3 days) and a TINY bottle opening. It is very inconvenient to clean. I found a way to clean it online with rice as an abrasive but it's still a pain.
I thought it was a red bottle but apparently it has a red coating. I can see the coating starting to come off on the threading where it attaches to the bottom. It was misleading.
The bottom comes apart for easy cleaning, however, if there is liquid in it, don't knock it or tilt it because it will leak/spill out.
Beautiful Hummingbird Feeder!

This little feeder is beautiful. I bought the red bottle which is a fire engine red with nice raised design on the glass. It is very easy to fill (I used clear nectar, "no red dye.") The opening is the same size as the opening on a soda or beer bottle. The feeder tray is plastic with a (brass colored) metal top plate, and each of the 5 feeder ports is designed to look like a small flower. The feeder tray screws off the mouth of the bottle, and goes right back on (even when the bottle is upside down and full of nectar), effortlessly. The metal hanger at the base of the bottle isn't tall (approximately 1/2" high from bottle bottom), so you'll most likely want to hang it from an "S" type metal hanger. If you have metal clothes hangers, make your own "S" hanger (with a closed end), and save a few pennies. The price is right, and it's a gorgeous addition to my patio. Now, just waiting for thirsty hummers to stop by.

I had to move this from in front of my door. The hummingbirds would dive at your head if you went near this AT ALL. I did a simple sugar and filtered water mix to avoid all the dyes. Apparently they love it. It's said hummingbirds can recognize faces but they don't give a hoot if you're just trying to refill it. It's WWII to get that thing down.
These would be the best hummingbird feeders. I would give it a full five stars gladly except for thi

These are the best hummingbird feeders, except: I wish they would sell just the part that is the metal disk near the bottom. Sometimes if the feeder gets knocked off, it will bend the metal piece and it won't seal anymore. So I just bought a new one, but have all of the parts except the metal piece for the one that got knocked off it's hook. What am I supposed to do with all of that?
Update: I just purchased 2 more and one of the metal bases was bent, so it won't seal. Awaiting a response from the company directly because I don't want to waste either of our time and money shipping the whole thing back and forth for something that weighs an ounce or two.
Photo: Here is a photo of the dent in the base. The top is sheet metal and the bottom is plastic. In order for it not to leak, the metal has to be a perfect fit into the plastic groove. This one came with a dent you can see in the side. You cannot try to bend it back. I tried that with a another one that got dented in a storm. The company has replacement parts for everything except this metal piece, which is the only thing that has ever gone wrong with mine.
Great hummingbird feeder

Great hummingbird feeder! Very pretty and works fantastic. Well, my little guests seem to love it anyway. Looks very nice hanging on my back porch. I want to get a second one eventually. I took it down for a day to clean it and make more nectar and when I went to put it back out, the little hummingbirds were buzzing really close to my head trying to get to it. Ha ha! I haven't had any leaks, even in the insane winds we get. It's holding up nicely in the hot, Mojave Desert heat. My porch is shaded 90% of the day so I don't worry about the metal parts getting too hot. The humming birds are really digging it and I've had no complaints so far. :)
They look wonderful hanging between our ferns on our front porch

My son and I have purchased 4 of these hummingbird feeders! They look wonderful hanging between our ferns on our front porch. The hummingbirds love them!! We must have at least 2 dozen hummingbirds! They seem to prefer the blue feeders to the red ones... I was a little surprised, but they go for the blue ones the most!
