put folded up paper towels in it and took it with me in the shower and it worked great! I'm still a

I got this due to the fact that I will be going snorkeling soon and wanted something a little easier to work with. The first time I tested this out, I folded up a couple paper towels and put them inside it. Then I brought with me in the hot tub. Once I got in and submerged it, I pulled it out of the water a few seconds later since I was just checking for leaks at first and sure enough there was some water sneaking in and it got all foggy from the hot water. But I noticed I didn't put the case together perfectly so the seal was off and it was purely my fault. So I dried out the inside of the case, put folded up paper towels in it and took it with me in the shower and it worked great! I'm still a little hesitant to put my phone in it and submerge it just yet, so I'm going to try it a couple more times in the hot tub just to ease my mind. Overall it's a great product (especially for the price) and the functions are easy to use. Other reviewers made comments about how it's not made for an every day case, which is obvious. Something like this shouldn't be used for every day.

Works well if properly use

I bought this for a trip to Thailand. I was a bit skeptical because I had just purchased my iPhone and the phone was my camera. I followed the directions to the T. It work for a while, but then it broke. I summerged myself to what the directions suggested. Thankfully, I caught it just in time.

I called the company and they were very responsive and offered a full refund or replacement. I decided to do the replacement and just avoid summerging myself. I love the beach, pool, river, lake, so this became a necessary.

This case is worse than mediocre
by keith (2 out of 5 stars)

I used this case for the 5S. I bought this case thinking it looked cool and had everything I wanted. It was waterproof, clear (so you could see the gold), and stylish. The moment I received it, it was very difficult for me to open. I eventually used an iPhone charger. Once opened, and I put in my phone and Siri immediately turned on without me pressing anything. I keep testing it, and testing it and the only way to get it to stop was for me to move it back, therefore I wouldn't have the ability to swipe through pages. I was very unsatisfied with that. Next I try to listen to music, and boom- no headphone jack. I was very disappointed because the case is not easy to open. Me, being a student, the sounds button is very useful. I wasn't able to turn on anything with this case, because it didn't even have ANYTHING on the side of it. I never water tested it, but I'm sure it would work if you closed it right. But overall, don't waste your money. I don't know if all this happened because it's a 5S and not a 5, but I am still disappointed.

Salt Water Destroyed My iPhone 5
by Jonathan (1 out of 5 stars)

Bought this case for water protection. Followed all instructions to seal the case and took it to the beach. To test the case, I dip it into the ocean once. To my shock, water was inside and my phone screen flashed for the last time. Either the product was defective or it is falsely advertised.

This is my first real issue with a product on Amazon. They did issue a refund for the product, but that does not replace the high priced item that this case was to protect. I'm out $500 for a replacement phone.

Great screen protector but has no button to put your phone on silent.
by Ulises (3 out of 5 stars)
June 4, 2014

This case is great and does what it says. However, it's not for me. It does not have the option to turn the phone on silence. Top left sound button. NO/OFF. To get to it you need to take the phone out of the case. Also the case fits only apple house chargers (original charger). If you get a non-apple charger you will have to take your phone out of the case to charge it. The more you take the phone out of the case, the more you can wear out the O'Ring.

I really REALLY like this case
by Jordan Schwartz (4 out of 5 stars)

I really REALLY like this case. Clear is my absolute favorite color and the case does the job. My only fault with it is that there is absolutely no access to headphone jack, which could have been easily resolved by doing the same with what they did with the phone charger jack on the bottom. Not really sure why they chose not to, maybe it was b/c they felt that it would be easier for water to leak in, but hey, for the price, I think it serves its purpose. Just if you can, and if you're really concerned about a phone being waterproof, then I also suggest to order a product that will help it float as well, so if it ever falls into water, it'll easy to pick up out of the water and even less water damage. Just makes sense.

Sturdy case but a pain to remove
by Emmy70 (3 out of 5 stars)
January 4, 2014

This case does it's job to protect the phone but the screen is a bit hard to use on the edges because of the larger edge around the screen area. It also requires a tool or something to turn the screw locks to remove the phone. I am going to keep it to use out on the boat, but won't be using it as my main case as it is too cumbersome.

Great case for the cost
by Eden or Jeff (4 out of 5 stars)
July 27, 2014

This product is a great value. Clear instructions, is waterproof and the thick plastic has yet to break despite how many times I've dropped it already. However, I do not have the original Apple lightning charger - I have a thicker Belkin brand and it does not fit in the allotted space. Also, no aux port on this case like LifeProof and Otter.

Case prevents access to ringer function! But it's waterproof!
by NY_Writer_Gal (1 out of 5 stars)
January 19, 2015

FYI, this case is great for waterproofing. However, ***the case blocks the button allowing you to switch from silent mode to "ringer" mode.**** That's a necessary feature, and one I can't access unless I unscrew the case.

I hate the iContact Waterproof Case for iPhone 5/5s!
by Latina Nickerson (1 out of 5 stars)
February 16, 2015

I have recently received the iContact Waterproof Case for iPhone 5/5s and I completely and utterly hate it. First of all it was a hassle to open the case to insert my phone, and in the process of simply unscrewing the flathead the screw broke into four pieces. The next problem was that the rest of the screws wouldn't tighten completely, so the case was not in fact water proof. The overall problem were the defective screws which sacrificed the most important feature of the product, the water proof feature. Take my advice and do not buy this product.
