From manufacturer Where Aqua Dragons come from? : They are from the crustacean family, a species called Artemia Salina. They have been living in salt lakes and seas on Earth since prehistoric times. Aqua Dragons eggs have a natural ability to dry out and survive droughts, waiting to come in contact with water to hatch, this special ability to hibernate. In the following 50 days after hatching, these small beings can grow up to 1cm long and live from 50 days to a few months. The perfect first pet! Product description. The Aqua Dragons line of products enables children and animal lovers of all ages to hatch and grow a generation of these amazing creatures at home. Their eggs have an amazing capacity called cryptobiosis which means they can dry out and stay alive only to hatch many years later. Tests have found that eggs kept in air sealed containers for up to 20 years still hatched when they were returned to water. They are fascinating to watch as they swim and play graciously in their aquatic underwater world. Aerate the water using the pipette or by tipping the water into another containers and back. Do this daily. Over feeding is probably the biggest killer of Aqua Dragons (feed them at most only every 2-3 days, never if the water is cloudy with food) but if you do run out this is the official food that comes with the Aqua Dragon kits.
