Great product, can be modified if light switch is too close to a door frame

I'm making my man cave video game theme, and this made all the difference, totally worth the buy, I did buy this very worried that it wouldn't fit as it's supposed to be set because it's 6 inches by 6 inches and it didn't buy I placed it upside down, all I had to do was open the back and switch the plate that reads "POWER UP" upside down and Vuala! It looks great regardless, totally worth the buy, highly recommend, I've never been any much more happier with a purchase, again I did modify it and switched the light plate, not hard at all to do if necessary to do so, otherwise packaging was nice, product is in great condition, and the buttons are hard to resist not to push

Great addition to my game room.

This light switch is great! It does take 2 AA batteries for the sound effects and the Power Up sign to light up. It does not need batteries for the light switch to work. You will want to take your existing light switch and flip it upside down or the joystick will be backwards. As you can see in my video I did not flip the light switch upside down. These instructions are on the back, which I noticed later, but who has time for that?

Pros: The quality seems pretty good so far. Sound effects are of a good volume.

Cons: When I am in that room my wife keeps pressing the sound effect buttons each time she walks by. Joystick does not go left and right so its impossible to put in the Konami code.

This is a unique and fun way to liven up your game room. The buttons make pew pew and power pow sounds and the toggle flips the light on and off. When the light is off the Powerball sign is lit up. It is ran on two AA batteries and install is easy. The screws were not long enough so I had to take the original light cover off in order for the screws to read his the light switch hardware. Just screw the Powerball light switch in a boom. Done. To save battery you can turn the game effects off at the base of the arcade game switch. The toggle switch will still turn your light on or off. I love it and so does my other half!

the buttons make fun shooting and pew pew noises

I purchased this for my sons video game room and it's a hit. It works reversly so you either have to turn your switch upside down in the socket or train your brain that down means on and up means off. We just switched our existing switch in the socket so we didn't have to hurt our brains. the buttons make fun shooting and pew pew noises. It also lights up when used. I haven't had to replace the batteries yet and it's been about 6 months.

Love this thing! It is so annoying! I put it in my sons room and press it every time I walk past it to bug him... His friends on his online games always ask WTF was that! Well the speaker finally popped and stopped working.... I took out a speaker out of a Delta Airlines free Headphone and soldered it back in; along with some help from a hot glue gun. Couple days later I walked by his room again and hit that thing like an old dig-dug game. He was like..."Really Dad?"

Fun Option for a Game Room

Great addition my game room. It's a conversation starter when people see it. It is odd that it reverses the power switch. So you flip it up to turn the light off and down to turn the light on. Although you get used to that over time and hasn't been a problem.

5 months later and this still rocks. It catches everyone's eye and they all wanna play with it. Batteries are still working so it doesn't seem to drain fast. I love the noises it makes with you press the buttons. Coming from a nerdy household, we all love this light switch. Would recommend this to anyone who would like to add an Arcade style light switch plate to their gaming room.

Awesome, Totally RAD, eighties or arcade room addition

This is a fantastic addition to an arcade room or eighties room. I get lots of compliments on it. The inversion of the on/off function takes some time to get used to but it is very functional and neat once you do.

I bought this on Christmas for my boyfriend (secretly me too ;) and it is great. He loves it. Everytime he walks buy it he has to push the buttons. It is a great add-on to our living room.

I bought it for cheaper on here than what Think Geek was selling if for, so that was another plus. I plan to buy a few more for some of our other light switches.

Works great and I had no problems.

I definitely recommend. :)
