Great pot, very heat efficient, thick non-stick coating.by Tetsu Noguchi (5 out of 5 stars)

As heat exchanging high efficiency pots go, the Primus Eta Pot series is hard to beat.
While I can certainly use this on a variety of stoves I have, it's original purpose was to work with the Primus ETA Power EF I recently purchased.
With the wind shield stand bent outwards, the 3.0 Liter pot fits snugly into the wind shield. however, the top of the pot sticks significantly above the rim, so closing the zipper, while possible when the colander/top is upside, it doesn't close with the it facing the other way. A small annoyance since when the colander/top is upside down, you can't fit the 1L pot and its colander/top into the unit.
If the 3.0L is the only pot being brought, than this is not a problem, of course.
Another interesting little quirk: because of the way the pot stand in the Primus ETA Power EF is designed, there are two levels of indents on the pot stand portion. The 1 L pot sits further in the wind shield, which boasts some hard core heat efficiency, but the larger 3.0L pot sits on the higher level. Which is perfectly fine and still provides good wind protection, just not as much.
Either way, this setup is still considerably more heat efficient than many other setups. I haven't tested this unit with an Omnifuel, and would need to do so to verify that the pot stand of the Omnifuel is wide enough (will try later tomorrow).
This does fit nicely on an Asian gas stove, which is a stove I use often, so may have to use this pot with that setup to improve fuel efficiency there.
The coating, of course, is a concern, but it is more durable seeming than thinner coatings I've seen, so as long as heat is carefully managed, and a little care is taken in scratch prevention during cleaning, the coating should last for years and years. Crossing fingers.
All in all, if you need a larger 3L Pot for car camping, this one is hard to beat. But definitely a better fit for car camping than back packing.
Nice quality, works well

Finish quality is great. Handles work well. Seems to heat quite fast, though I haven't done any time trials compared to my old MSR blacklite pots.
Stove compatability:
The following stoves fit up inside the heat exchanger ring/shroud, like it would if the pot didn't have a heat exchanger ring: MSR micro rocket and the Jetboil PCS/FLASH when fitted with the pot stand. So the flame is closer to the pot (more efficient heating) and lower heat exchanger shroud also may protect the flame from light winds. BTW, the shroud opening is approximately 4 7/8" on the ETA 1.8L and 5 7/8" on the 3.0L.
MSR Whisperlite and MSR XGK EX pot support legs are wider so they rest on the bottom of the heat exchanger shroud. I have not tested whether the flame pattern is too wide, i.e. if part of it will go over the shroud rather than up to the pot bottom surface and through the heat exchanger.
I really like this pot

I have used it for the last several camping trips on my motorcycle. It does allow you to heat water with less fuel, and the build quality is very good. So far I have just used it to heat water for freeze dried food and instant coffee, and haven't cooked or simmered anything else in it, so I don't know how well the anti stick coating works on the inside. So far, I do really like it. I would not recommend using the abrasive green/yellow scotch brite pad on it, use the blue one instead, as it most likely won't damage the finish. It fits on my primus OmniLite Ti stove perfectly, and I don't use very much white gas to heat the water. The stove, pump, windshield, spoon, and a box of wooden matches fit inside the pot and lid. A backpacker might be better served with the smaller size, but this works for me, and I can heat enough cold water in three batches to mostly fill a 10 liter camping shower bag.
Amazed and satisfied

I have my UL set-up for solo hiking and was searching for a larger pot (inexpensive) for hiking with my daughters. Since they tend to get antsy while waiting for anything, i thought that I would try the Heat exchanger pot for efficiency. From the design (wider - more surface area) and the heat exchanger I was honestly amazed at how quickly this boiled water (2 cups just over 4 minutes with alcohol stove). I love it so much that if it were not for my solo set-up would easily buy the 1-liter pot. For family hiking this will not disappoint.
Good addition for your JetBoil or similar stove

I bought this because it offers more than competing brands and it is the correct size for the groups I hike and camp with. The lightweight inner pot and the cover along with the soft mesh bag were an unexpected plus. The heat ring is protected so you don't have to be as careful with where you set the pot down. It works with my JetBoil stove.
Great pot but does not stay on top of Eta ...

Does not stay on top of Eta Spider stove, unless you lose the windscreen. This pot is also probable not very stable on top of the Eta canister-top stove.

Great companion to my little cannister stove. The heat skirt helps a lot, since you're not supposed to use a windshield with the cannister stove.

These work well and seem to cut down fuel use and boiling times significantly...I tested and got 30% plus faster boil times.
