After much insistance from husband that this was the best tent on the maket for motorcycle camping, I caved and purchased. The construction is average and waterproofing above average. During a wind storm (30mph) at Shoshone Tropical Oasis in California, several of the tie downs broke in the middle requiring immediate attention to keep tent from blowing away. The black webbing at entrance of sleeping area came detached at edge where sewn into base of tent. Had to rig a line in conjunction to protect from stretching and ripping base of tent. We never used the carport for the bike. It took up too much room and restricted entry to the sleeping area. The forward section of the tent was used for storage of helments, boots, dry bags and things we need to keep dry while camping in the rain forest in Alaska. We placed a tarp down on the ground in the forward area to prevent grass/sand/mud being carried into the sleeping area and to protect the stowed gear from rain/moisture.Used the aft area a couple of times when we had to unload the Bustec trailer for service. Husband is 6'1" so he was able to dress without having to stoop. I do like the ability to choose the entry to provide air flow or protection from elements. The sleeping area holds a queen with no room for movement other than up or down. It dries quickly after rain but does not smell or mildew if packed away wet for a few days. It requires two average 65+ people to raise or lower and pack for travel. A lot of $$$ for a novel idea. I would do more research before purchasing for a touring couple with minimum gear.
Great protection for you AND your bike!

Great design! Plenty of doors/openings for evening breezes. Held up to Myrtle Beach Bike Week thunderstorms perfectly. Bike and camper enjoyed a dry night's sleep. :-). It's nice to be able to stand up inside it when dressing.
Hate to say it, but worth the money!

This past summer we were in the NC smokey mountains, and it absolutely threw it down - an amazing rainstorm washing out gravel roads, rivers appearing from nowhere, and we were sheltering in this tent in a campsite near the 'Tail of the Dragon'. The rain was coming down so hard that it would pool up on top of the tent before spilling off the sides. I mean this was an insane rainstorm. We sat in lawn chairs in the 'vestibule' area and watched the tent sway with the wind, but not a drop came through - nadda, nothing! Perfectly dry inside :)
This HUGE tent folds up to such relatively small pack as well. Took it on a 2 week 4000 mile motorcycle trip from MO to BC Canada this July. Excellent purchase :)

I browsed the internet for most of the winter searching for a good quality motorcycle touring tent that would provide me with comfort, space and shelter during fowl weather. I actually found myself using this tent as a model for comparing others. The price was the only thing holding me back from purchasing it sooner but there were no other tents that I considered a match for my needs. When I received the tent I erected it right away and I can honestly say without a doubt that this tent is everything I hoped it to be.
