I use this in my job accessing abandoned properties. Many times the property is empty due to an eviction and we gain access and then guess what? Someone is still there. Hoped to use this to see in before I go in. Works on some and not on others. Still playing with it, it worked the first time I used it perfectly. Then went to another location and it didn't work at all. Possibly different peep holes have different designs?

UPDATE: Figured out that the really fish eye peep holes 130 degree plus, for the most part make this unit fail. The small and flat peep lenses on doors are much easier to see through using this. It works about half the time, I've used it about 40-50 times now. It is helpful in my job accessing properties for banks... Houses that have been foreclosed and need new locks installed, water turned off, and garbage removed. A few times we have run into squatters even after knocking on the door and ringing the door bell for a long time. We open the door and there they are. So this is a nice item when it works.

Maybe it's best that this thing doesn't work. I was too frightened by it not working to confront my cheating ex. Who knows what would've happened? Regardless, it doesn't work.

Works great, but has limited angle

I seem to be the only one who's done a review on this with a verified purchase. Tested it on my own door but had to set up certain objects as reference points for calibration. Yes, this does in fact work, and you can make out very fine details with it too. But there's a very limited angle of view on it, and you'll need to constantly calibrate it to see different depths. Plus, don't expect to see anything more than a very narrow tunnel.
