All the info. about this GREAT GUN! (read this it will help)
by max (5 out of 5 stars)
July 8, 2014

This is by far the best air rifle I have ever bought!

Good things:

for the people who are looking to buy a air rifle get this one it will not let you down I promise the 1400fps with the high grade pba platinum bullets defiantly go the distance and they hit the target every time on the spot. Ya you might say that this gun is a little to high of a cost but for 1400fps (by the way that is faster than some .22lr's) I think that is a great price for a gun with such a good quality and scope. Another thing that you might want to know about is the amount of noise that you hear; and that all really depends on what bullet you use. the high grade pba platinum bullets go over 1400fps which means that they break the sound barrier so it is almost as loud as a .22lr, but I use Crosman hunting pellets and those seem to make it as quiet as a mouse. so don't freak out when all the other reviews say it is as loud as a deer rifle because it's not I shot this gun in my neighborhood with out any troubles

EVER! And it comes with really nice a pre mounted neon sight on the gun that works great. last is the feel of the gun; the trigger is super great better than any other gun I've held and the padded back is the coolest and most comfortable thing I've used. this is just a great gun!

Bad things:

The only thing that I did not just love was that the scope one the gun is a little strange because you have to get pretty close to the scope. but for me only finding one bad thing and hundreds of good things I think that it is a over all great gun.

Good things to know:

you can get a bipod, laser sight, knew scope, flash light/laser attachments and bullets on amazon.

I hope this helped you know more about this gun.

Makes easy work of small game
by Mike (5 out of 5 stars)
October 16, 2014

I bought this air rifle to fill a gap in my shooting. I shoot for a lot of reasons and one of them is plinking. I also hunt small game to feed my animals. As .22LR becomes more and more difficult to find, I decided to try something I haven't done since I was a teen...the pellet gun!

I was able to rip off about 100 rounds with the fiber optic open sights in about an hour with a respectable hit rate ranging from 20 feet to 50 yards. The rifle performed as you might expect and it felt great. The stock fits me well, has a decent check swell, and the trigger has to be the best stock trigger on any pellet gun I've heard of.

After about 100 shots, I mounted the scope Gamo sent with the riffle. It went on easily and the stud on the bottom of the rear ring makes me think the scope won't creep at all. I had the scope zeroed within 10 shots and was able to hit the mark from 30 yards to about 75 yards without any difficulty.

The second day I took the Gamo out with the dogs, and we made head shots on rabbits at will. No small game is safe from this rifle.

I may return at some point to update this review, but for the money I've invested, I'm sure this air rifle will be more than satisfactory.

The Gamo whisper fusion pro pellet rifle
by Nicholas (5 out of 5 stars)
May 15, 2015

So, the Gamo whisper fusion pro is an Excellent pellet riffle. I say riffle because it will shoot clear through a satellite dish.it does come with Gamo PBA platinum pellets and Gamo PBA leathal pellets, now of course then being PBA they will break the sound barrier, going 1400 feet per second, I actually expected it to have a loud crack and many of the reviews say it does sound like a 22 lr. and it really does, but when you shoot led it has a dramatic effect on it and it's not quite as loud but it does have somewhat bit of noise. I personally love again and with the leathal pellets at 30 yards it will go completely through a satellite dish and then some. The 3-9×32 scope is an excellent excellent scope I had no problem zeroing it in once I figured out what I was doing. it does take quite a bit of effort on the first cock to break the barrel, but once You get used to it its not too bad. Gamo really did an excellent job on this rifle I would recommend it to anybody. it shoots really really hard and even with led pellets I was going through the satellite dish. the SAT trigger is really really nice we have a shotgun and its pretty much like the trigger on the shotgun its really nice. but here again, yes when you are shooting the PBA pellets you are going to hear a very loud crack just do to it breaking the sound barrier. I hope this review wasn't too long and I hope you found something out of it that would help you!!! (I may put another picture or two on here later)

I WENT LOOKING FOR A NEW AIR RIFLE FOR AROUND THE HOUSE....AS I GAVE MY OLD PLINKER TO MY BUDDIES KID......I HAVE A TON OF NASTY FERAL CATS AROUND AND MY OLD BUDDY IS GETTING OLDER NOW (19) AND CAN'T DEFEND HERSELF SO WELL THESE DAYS!!

Louder than I expected but it's a very effective rabbit eradication system
by Jim (4 out of 5 stars)
August 4, 2015

I got it as birth control for the exploding rabbit population here in Colorado. It's extremely effective. My only complaint is it is way louder than I expected. At first I purchased some of the PBA pellets and I quickly realized that they cracked like a .22 (as stated in many other reviews) so I bought some cheaper and slower crosman pellets and although there's no longer the crack-shot sound, it's uncomfortably loud in the close quarters of the neighborhood I live in. I'm going to try some beemans and see if I can find a quieter setup. No complaints about the scope or the effectiveness of the rifle, but I admit I am considering purchasing a quieter replacement. The rabbits hate this thing!

Bad scope mount
by K. Sizemore (2 out of 5 stars)
March 24, 2015

The rifle itself would be great, if they had a proper scope mount. The mount provided is cheap grade aluminum. The way it is setup with a pin mount (instead of weaver style), the pin just cuts the mount until the scope moved back against the mount screw. I have tightened the scope as tight to the base as possible and it still ripped a slot in the scope mount, making the scope very inaccurate. I got about 50 shots of accuracy (about 1 inch group at 30 yards) until the weight of the scope damaged the mount. Now I can hit a soda can at 30 yards...50% of the time. I realized the problem, locked it down as tight as possible, and no go. Did the same thing again. If they had just gone with a steel compound for the mount, or even higher grade aluminum, it could handle the kick of the rifle without getting damaged.

Poor Accuracy
by SGM Cottrell, K (3 out of 5 stars)
July 20, 2017

It's a pity I've held on to this product so long before use (even unboxed just recently). Or I'd have sent it back. Large priced item I got burt on. Owned a few "GAMOS" now and had great success. I couldn't get this rifle to shoot within an inch (with any of the ammo types) even at only 25yards. Ugggg. Worthless, as precision is paramount in a .177
Others I've had have all been absolutely MOA out to 100ft. My personal limit on what that will do for a head shot on a rabbit or squirrel. BIG LOSS. Pretty mad at myself, old enough to know better. Should have at least zeroed it in (or tryed as it is). Ugggg.

Love my new Gamo
by Kaci E. Hurd (4 out of 5 stars)
June 19, 2014

Gun arrived quickly and looked great out of the box. Took it out and sighted it in with the scope first. This was a bit tricky as the gun will adjust to what pellets you choose. It's fairly accurate but at times can be all over the place just from the type of pellets you are putting through it. The gun is a little heavy for me so it's difficult to keep it steady but other than that it's been great so far! Has a nice little recoil but nothing too bad and it's definitely NOT a quiet gun! Don't let the whisper name fool you. Depending on what pellet you use this thing can put off the ring of a .22. The scope seems to be pretty nice quality and better than previous models. They have also added a rail mount on the top that the scope is mounted to that should help with the scope moving out of adjustment with the the gun being used.

Overall, I am happy with this thing! We also have the Bone Collector Gamo and it's a great gun as well. Probably more suited to me than this one, weight wise, but I love the 1400 FPS this thing has! If you are looking at a pellet gun, Gamo is the only way to go!

Your mileage may vary
by ChicagoSlim (3 out of 5 stars)
August 21, 2015

The quality of the rifle exceeded my expectations, it feels very well made and durable. It feels like a quality rifle, I haven't been able to hit a can from 10 feet with this thing with or without the scope, I thought I was going crazy and grabbed my rifle and handgun and had no problems hitting targets. For whatever reason, this is the least accurate rifle I have ever used, I have tried about 8 different types of pellets and still can't hit the broadside of a barn with this, I hear it bouncing off but can't ever see any pellet. I probably would recommend a less powerful rifle if you just need to get rid of some varmints.

Strange cryptic Amazon proviso apparently not related to performance
by Ed T. (4 out of 5 stars)
May 5, 2015

I Ordered this from Amazon Warehouse Deals, not Big Rock. The rifle performs well, and the suppressor does reduce the crack of the report, but perhaps the manufacturer's claims as to how much were exaggerated somewhat (I recall a vague comparative noise reduction claim). The barrel is clad in a fluted plastic material of approximately 1" outer diameter, flaring into a 1 7/16" x 5 1/4" suppressor. This makes the air rifle look like a much more powerful (threatening) rifle, so don't walk around your front yard with it.... The oversized barrel also affects availability of accessories you might wish to attach there, like a bipod. It came with a premium 3-9x40 scope with adjustable objective.
