Product Description

Either as a primary or backup battery, the P107 is an excellent addition to any Ryobi user's arsenal. It is compatible with the One+ tools, letting you power up more than 50 pieces of equipment and counting. These are fade-free batteries. This means that while they have roughly a 1.5 hour capacity, they'll work at full blast until that power runs out. They're compact, too, which is perfect for smaller tools that you plan on bringing into tight spaces like the multi-tool or drill / driver. They're also lightweight, which will let you work longer without having your arms tire out. This is important when you're going for accuracy, where every extra ounce counts. There's also an onboard fuel gauge, which helps you figure out approximately when you need to charge it. Working in the cold? This has the ability to handle that, too. It can work in temperatures as low as 14 degrees Fahrenheit. As a smaller, more compact version of the strongest batteries in Ryobi's lithium ion lineup, the P107 is an excellent choice when looking at backup batteries to fuel your DIY habits. Ryobi means work done right. Item is shipped in bulk packaging

Features

  • FUEL GAUGE: Know how much charge you have left in the battery with the LED lighting system on the front, activated with a button
  • COMPACT: Power your tools with less weight than the bulky 4Ah batteries, allowing you to physically work for longer and bring your tools into tight spaces
  • ONE+ COMPATIBLE: These batteries work with many tools in Ryobi’s One+ lineup. That’s more than 50 tools this is compatible with, from reciprocating saws to shop vacuums
  • FADE-FREE POWER: These batteries will work as powerfully as they were when fully charged until they completely run out
  • WORKS IN HARSH CONDITIONS: This battery can work in cold conditions as low as 14 degrees Fahrenheit (-10 degrees Celsius), letting you work around the clock and calendar

So Far So Good
by atlas (4 out of 5 stars)

I have purchased 5 of these batteries in the last 2 months, all arrived on time and in good shape. All of the batteries came wrapped in plastic with a layer of bubble wrap around them most sellers ship this way because they are breaking down bulk packs into individual orders. All 5 batteries work as advertised and so far no problems but the true test is how many months/years will they last. If I run into any unusual problems I'll let you guys know. If you treat them nice you can expect about 2 to 3 years service life. Remember lithium batteries are sensitive to temperature especially heat. Storing them in a low charge/discharged condition in very hot or below freezing temperatures is a battery killer. If your garage, tool shed, or vehicle gets very hot or cold do not store your batteries there. The two biggest problems that cause lithium batteries to drop below their minimum recharge voltage are leaving them connected to a flashlight that is on and forgetting to turn it off and the Ryobi radio that has a USB port. Even with the radio off, the battery will continue to drain and may drop below it's minimum recharge voltage. This is especially true with the P102 battery. There are some good Youtube videos on this.

Battery died in 1 year, and the product carries no warranty!

The battery died after 1 year. I contact Ryobi. They said Amazon is not an authorized retailer. The product carries no warranty!

I am very disappointed with Ryobi. They sell their devices in low price in order to trap you into their circle. Their batteries and accessories are expensive and low quality. Their customer service are also bad.

One won't charge at all, the other only to half the voltage
by DonP,Top Contributor: Quantum Physics (1 out of 5 stars)

I have had bad luck with the two Ryobi P107 batteries that I have. When the first died completely and would not charge, I purchased another from Amazon, but it would only charge to about half the voltage. I also have a Ryobi P103 battery and a Reoben P108 battery which both charge as they are supposed to. The P107 battery that died completely was purchased on November 6, 2016 from Amazon but was only used several times. When I pressed the charge indicator button at the back of the battery, first all the lights flashed, then only one light showed, indicating a minimal charge. The battery only measured 2.23 volts with my multi-meter. It was so dead that my Ryobi circular saw would do nothing. I have both a Ryobi 18V One+ Li-ion battery charger (Ryobi One+ Charge Center) and a Ryobi 18V dual chemistry One+ battery charger (Ryobi P117 One+ 18 Volt Dual Chemistry IntelliPort Lithium Ion and NiCad Battery Charger) that I have tried using with both defective Ryobi P107 batteries.

Powerful battery, but short half life
by Shello (2 out of 5 stars)

I'm an avid DIY'er and a fan of Ryobi One+ products but my battery just didn't make the cut wrt longevity. The Li-Ion battery worked perfectly when new with lots of power from full charge for use until the battery dies. I have this battery for 11 months and its not charging fully. The most its charging is 50%. Thank goodness there is a power gauge on the battery otherwise I would have never known it was faulty and not obtaining its full charge. These batteries come with a 3 years warranty, so Ryobi expect to hear from me soon. I have not divorced myself from their products as a result of this battery issue at this time as I have about 6 One+ tools. So in the interim ( and I hope not foolishly) I have ordered another new battery, hopefully I get better service from it, while i ship the faulty battery back to Ryobi.

Warning: bad product bad warranty
by Villager (1 out of 5 stars)

Be very careful when purchasing Ryobi products from this or any other retailer on Amazon. Nothing wrong with the seller at all, product came quickly and in good order. Wish I could say the same about Ryobi. In the past 3 years I have bought 2 lawn products that use this battery plus an additional battery(P107) from this site. All worked well for about 6-18 months then so far 3 of 4 batteries have failed ( note: I have a very very small yard I didn't work it to death ). Home Depot replaced one whole unit (Blower and battery) six months after purchase. I no longer had the receipt for the Battery that came with my edger so I could not get that battery replaced. This battery lasted about 18 months before it died, I contacted Ryobi for a replacement and e mail the receipt to them. They responded that although the battery was purchased from an authorized seller they will not honor any warranties unless both the seller and fulfillment are both Amazon.

Everyone who uses 18 volt Ryobi devices should have two batteries.

If you have an appliance that came with one 18 Volt Lon battery, I suggest you purchase a spare so that you'll always have one charged.

I have two Ryobi devices that use this battery: a leaf blower and a hand held vacuum. The leaf blower exhausts its charge after blowing off about half our our driveway.

By having two batteries, I can always be sure that I'll have the juice I need to complete my projects.

Incidentally, be careful. There are knockoffs out there, often NiCad or other technologies which are not as effective as Lithium Ion.

Battery dead within 6 months of light use.

The charger lights started blinking the red/green code that indicates the battery is bad. But wait! Ryobi batteries carry a three-year warranty ... if you buy them from Home Depot. I actually had three of these batteries go bad but two of them came from Home Depot. I provided all the information on my defective batteries and my original Amazon and HD receipts to the Ryobi warranty department this week. They are replacing the Home Depot parts. However, the email reply I received about my Amazon purchase was: "J & Y DEALS ARE NOT AN AUTHORIZED SELLER OF RYOBI PRODUCTS AND CARRY NO WARRANY [sic] COVERAGE."

Of course, I'm going to fight this is a matter of principle. If they cave-in, I will update my review.

Great battery

I've had a bunch of Ryobi 18V tools since 2009. First batteries (6 years old now) are just starting to fail. I'd say that's an outstanding life!

Between the big 4ah bats and these smaller bats I actually prefer the smaller ones for most applications. If you have two of these small bats you really won't need the bigger ones.

Worked fine, just like I expected, then quit holding a charge after several months. Could not get it replaced under warranty from Ryobi since this is not an authorized dealer.

Buyer Beware!

WARNING! Lecrum Tools is not a certified Ryobi distributor!! If any of their products stop working during the warranty period, Ryobi will not warrant them. The battery I purchased from Lecrum stopped working less than a year after I purchased it. Though Ryobi products have a 3 year warranty, I was out of luck and must now buy another battery for my Ryobi drill and other tools. Too bad Amazon doesn't vette the sellers to make sure the consumers that use them are able to use warranties if needed.
