Difficult to use, but who doesn't want a companion cube!?by L. Richardson (4 out of 5 stars)

Given that it is only a silicone mold, and it holds a lot of water, the "tray" collapses once you even try to pick it up. You MUST support it from underneath in order to have full cubes and not spill water all over.
The only way I can really use this is to fill it while it's on a plate and then put the whole thing (plate too) into the freezer. You can't tilt it or you get water everywhere.
It would be nice if the silicone had some sort of rigidity to it to prevent such collapse.
Hard To Use

I love the novelty of these but they are difficult to use. The tray is 100% silicone, so with water in it it's gets a mind of it's own and is difficult to get into the freezer with all the molds full. Without a full mold, the companion cubes aren't quite cubes. My solution was to fill it and then use a grill style spatula to slide it into the freezer. Still lost a little water but not much.

Exactly what it says it is. Makes ice cubes.
Don't put Jell-O in it. It won't come out.
Kinda frustrating that it's so wobbly, you have to be really careful putting it in to the freezer. I just put it in the freezer and then fill it.

The design does show on the ice boiled water makes it clearer. My only wish would be a plastic support tray to hold the mold while transferring to the freezer. The silicon makes it flimsy but is neccessary to pop the cubes out.

I love this. This was a great hit at my party. The ice come out perfectly. The tray is like jelly like so I thought is was going to be hard to get the ice out but no. It comes out very easily. This is the perfect gift for all Portal fans.

Item is exactly as stated; big beautiful companion ice cubes. I haven't tried it with chocolate, but the ice cubes come out easier than I expected. As with most silicone molds, the bottom requires a lot of support while it is full of liquids to not spill everywhere, but otherwise very satisfied.

Makes great cubes however filling the tray then carrying it over to the freezer is difficult, very flimzy and impractical..needs a connected base possibly. I stopped making ice cubes and now use mine for jello works great.

these are the ice cubes for you. Produces several large, beautiful cubes. Would also be cool for chocolates. Sometimes I spill a lot of the water when putting it in the fridge though. Very "flexy" and long, so kind of cumbersome.

Decent Ice cube tray

The tray itself is of good quality, and well made. While the cube come out rather large and a near perfect replica of the Companion cube. However the flexibility of the tray makes it very difficult to kept liquid in it, unless you have a perfectly flat surface. Most time I end up filling the tray only part way, but still end up spilling. What wood have made this better is a cover to keep any liquid in the container.
