They are incredibly portable and work very well
by Prometheus (5 out of 5 stars)

They carry well, are easily deployed and the edges are taped and pressed together mechanically I believe to achieve a nice sturdy seal that acts as a sleeping bag. This has made a big difference in the cold weather we've been having lately and helps to counteract windy conditions because it is sealed so well. Recommended. (Careful though, if you are a fitful sleeper you may want to do some zig-zag or cross-style taping around the corners/edges, because the mylar is thin and can rip and tear without much force. Since they are emergency and intended for single-use though, I'm surprised at how durable they are even without that. I've used mine for a week at a time and it held up quite well.)

A must have for back country travelers!

Living and playing in the Rockies, we do not venture anywhere without these lightweight, but versatile mylar sleeping bags. We use these iwith our cold weather sleeping bags when the temperatures dip cooler than anticipated. We also have used them for temporary shelters in unexpected conditions (ie hail and heavy rain). And we have these handy in case we need them in wilderness first aid situations.

As reasonable as these are, they are a worthwhile investment for the varied applications they serve.

Camping: f it gets unexpectedly too cold or wet slip ur sleep bag into this for extra heat and protection.

Hiking: blanket, bag, jacket and rain poncho (cut hole stick head arms out), also high visibility for rescue, boil water in it.

Boating: trap air in it use as flotation device, blow it up with air and seal the bottom and stick it up into the air, can be seen for miles away.....

The product seems fine, I haven't tried sleeping in it

I only received 1, it is not a 2 pack. I even opened and unfolded it to verify there is only one sleeping bag there. The product seems fine, I haven't tried sleeping in it, but the listing says 2 pack and there was only 1 in the package I received. Not happy.

Great insurance item! Must have in emergency packs.

Being an outdoorsman, I was always taught and saw first hand that most people who perish in unfortunate situation do so not because of an accident but because of exposure. Especially in the winter. These came packaged together but in their own packaging. Were about the size of a couple poptart packs, so they can easily be placed in a pouch or compartment of an emergency bag. I put them in my hydration pack sleeve of my outdoor riding/hiking pack and they fit no problem. I tried the thermal blanket and it def. helped keeping the heat in so I can only imagine this sleeping bag will work just as well. Great addition to any emergency pack or outdoor pack.

Simple and to the point, came packed well and brand new. Always good to have extras, but check out the Bivvy's if you really want one to use multiple times or to slip your sleeping bag into.
