I read that other people were having issues with this shaker, so I kept them in mind when I ordered it. The lid was very much stuck on the strainer when I received the shaker. By far the best solution was one I read here in the reviews, fill the gap (between the lid and the strainer) with water and freeze it. I did this, then ran it under hot water, and the cap slid right off. Since then, I've had no problems.
Other than that, I think this is a good quality product. It works for all my needs, the size of the glass jar means you can really shake the cocktail around and mix it well. The stainless steel parts means the whole thing is dishwasher safe and very durable.
Cute, but more aggravating than it's worth.

Definitely not worth the $29 spent on it. It's a regular mouth quart size Ball mason jar and canning ring, which most people have or can cheaply get a hold of, so basically you are paying for the strainer lid and jigger lid. And honestly, they are crap. When I first opened the package, I had trouble getting the jigger lid off of the strainer. I finally managed and the lid didn't stick again for a couple of uses. But now the lid is stuck again and nothing I tried before is working. So now I basically have a mason jar that I paid way too much for.
Leaks like crazy

Leaks like crazy - hoped based on some reviews that said it didn't that I would luck out. Unfortunately I've used it a few times and lost the box so I can't return it. I think it's just needing a new lid design - a rubber seal would make all the difference. It was a quality Ball Mason Jar so would disagree with those who said it was cheap glass. Really bummed I spent $18 on this - makes a huge mess!
Makes a Big Mess...

It is a total mess to use. It leaks badly. The strainer cap won't come off; after struggling with and it finally comes off, the cap will be full of liquid and because you are applying so much energy to get it off you are very like to hurl the liquid around the bar and on yourself. As clever an idea as it is, it is poorly made and a waste of money. Darn. I was really looking forward to using it.
Shake your fun, fun!

A lot of reviewers complained about how hard the top was to take off. Yes this is true. But it will come off. Once you get it off take some coconut oil or canola oil and spread it around the inside of top. I think the metal is cap is made it is heated and formed so there is a specific way it likes to go on. That or because the metal is kind of thin it bends/dents easily. But there is no need to completely mash it down. It works just fine when you lightly place the top on the strainer piece

Looks adorable, but is awful at actually functioning as a shaker. I should have listened to the other review on this one. It leaks all over the place when shaking, and the cap is difficult to deal with.

A really cleaver idea. I thought the price was slightly high but this company came up with the idea and I wanted to support them over a big box store trying to undercut business.
The glass helps to insulate the beverages, which improves the useful life of the ice and saves your hands from freezing after making a couple of drinks.

Not only do I love this, but everyone who has been to my house when I have used it loves it too. First of all, it is a huge 32 ounces... most cocktail shakers are smaller and will only allow you to shake one cocktail at a time - you can make two or three, depending on size, in this shaker. It is so cute. I love it!
Where are the holes?

The cap on this is very misleading. I look in the cap and I see holes, but there is no way short of blow torch to separate outer cap from inner cap to expose said holes and poor drink. If you buy this better also buy a strainer with it. NOT happy with this crappy design.
Cute, Not Functional

This is a great looking shaker. I love the mason jar concept. However, cute doesn't mean functional. The lid is hard to get off and when you get it off it makes a mess. The pour spout spills all over the place. For the price, I expect better. I mean, seriously folks, the only thing your really paying for is their lid design. A lid design that doesn't work well. The rest is a Ball mason jar that you can get a case of for 10 bucks at the hardware store.
