The midnight Chant Bluetooth Portable Audio System from House of Marley is designed for audio playback from both compatible Bluetooth and wired devices via its 3.5mm auxiliary input. Extremely Long Battery Life

This will outlast your Smartphone's battery for days. I left it on for three days at work, streaming 13-14 hours each day. It really holds a charge.

The fidelity and sound quality are meh, average. What was most disappointing was the lack of low end. This is inspired by reggae, reggae is very bass guitar heavy with the guitar almost relegated to rhythm. As such you should almost be able to feel the base drum on the one drop. Sadly even with the equalizer set on max bass it is sorely lacking, minus one star.

The eco-friendly recycled plastic & hemp cover is very pleasing, I especially like the rasta colored touches. It appears greenish grey at first, as it wears the green becomes more apparent. I like this subdued olive color and it matches both its rasta theme as well as its forward thinking ecological and sustainability design.

When you remove the speaker you find that the bamboo top is just a tease, the body is plastic. This is supposed to be eco-consciously designed and executed, however it feels like it is just for appearance sakes. They should have made most of the body bamboo and only the bottom plastic, not just the bamboo top. I feel almost cheated. Minus second star.

Overall I would buy this speaker again. For all its drawbacks its still fits with the rest of my olive drab gear. Would I recommend it to a friend... tough one. I would give them the pros and cons and let them decide for themselves.

Marley products are all great until this one

We have several Marley products and they've all been great. I was really excited to get this for my nephew. He loved it along with the matching earbuds. However, the speaker was giving him a cracklings noise from the beginning. Exchanging it was simple and fast. The replacement was perfect, until now. It is making the same crackling noise. Hoping there's still some warranty for a replacement. All other Marley stuff has been great but this little guy needs some major improvements.

I have 2 Marley products at home already, so I purchased this one to match in with them. The speaker looks great and the battery is really good on it, but the speaker 'pops' in between every song when connected through Bluetooth. The audio is ok, but not as good as I was expecting. The lack of volume control on the speaker is annoying as well, defeats the purpose of having a wireless speaker when you have to have your phone next to it to change the volume all the time.

I cant see me buying any more, while they look great at tout themselves as Eco friendly (which my wife loves), the marketing is more hype than truth quality just isn't up to the price they charge.

These break, I've had 2 and they both had the same problems, defective charging port and wiring. They also both had the wood rim break off with normal use.

I use this at work in my office and it sounds great. Everyone always asks what it is, but they think it is cool looking. You have to listen to it with top folded back to get good sound.

I don't think it would be very good in an area with a lot of background noise though.

House of Marley always makes a great quality product. The speaker was easy to pair and sounds great. I love that they are made from recycled materials. Bought for 4 teen boys and they all loved it!

Compact and Powerful

This Speaker is a little giant and it's got a great personality. I like ease of use and the Loooong Battery life. Used it outside for over 8hrs when working in the yard the other day. The sound filled the yard and it still had lots of life when i shut it off. I purchased it for the Beach but will use it everywhere. I'm even modifying the bottle cage on my bike to accept it for long rides...

The Bluetooth works great, Highly recommended!

Wanted a small portable speaker that had some good sound! For the size of the speaker it does an outstanding job! Long lasting battery life and links to my bluetooth connection quickly. I've used it a bunch since I purchased it with no issues. Keep in mind that it is a "small" speaker which does mean limitations on its volume and bass. I would definitely purchase it again.

Sound is incredible you can feel the vibrations of the bass. Takes 2-3 hours for charging. Portable and can be attached to anything for carrying.

Isn't great for the beach

I used this at the beach and my friends in the chair next to me could barely hear it on top volume. There is no volume control on the speakers so you use the volume on your phone and when you turn it all the way up there is static. I bought it based on the reviews. I would spend more money to get better sound at a higher volume.
