I ordered the largest size in hopes to turn my 15 month old English mastiff into a lion for halloween & the costume fits him perfectly!! My only concern is the main slips off of his head easily, the costume howevevrr is absolutley adorable & hilarious! I'll find a way to stop it from slipping!

I have an 80 lb golden lab and the medium size was a perfect fit for him. He wore it to a costume contest in the park and was a hit with the crowd. Everyone wanted a picture of their kids with him. I fluffed the hair up with a comb and added a furry hair scrunchie on his tail, and it was very life like. People were doing double takes because he looked like a real lion.

We ordered the size Large for our 50 lb pit bull and it's a little big. I was able to make it a little smaller for him with a safety pain so now it fits great

Used this to make my pup the not-so-Cowardly Lion of Oz (to go with his girl Dorothy). Everyone thought he looked SO sweet! We think so too!

Would have given it 5-stars but the ears were different sizes & it doesn't look as nice as it does in the photo (despite several attempts at trying to smooth it down). The fur is kinda crazy but what do you expect for the price?! I like that I can just slip this over my pups head and snap a few pix & we're done! It matched his coat so well we had to laugh! Would imagine it would be uncomfortable for extended wear because it covers their ears and because it would get hot! I mean, you're putting faux fur over real fur! Nonetheless, it worked out well for our needs :)

I bought this for my Bichon Frise / Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Mix, he weighs about 28 lbs. It is a tiny bit big, but it looked really good on him. If he were going to wear it for more than a picture I would return it for an x-small or just safety pin it to make it fit a bit tighter. I really like it. It does not look as nice as it does in the picture, but it is very good for $12. It is well made for the price. He didn't like wearing it, but was fine with it being on for the picture and he really looked like a lion.

This costume is beyond adorable on my 20 lb Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. My sweet little dog is now the King of the Jungle! This photo is of the mane just out of the box, so it is not fluffed up and I'm sure it will look even better with some prep. I purchased a size small and it fit perfectly.

Do not go off their sizing! Large was Too Big for my 90 dog / 25" neck.

It arrived and looked rather matted, not full like the picture but I'm sure that can be fixed. Very fun!

Do not go off the sizing from their chart. Ordered a size large for my 90lb, stocky built, big necked lab/ pit/ boxer mix. Too big by about 1" in the width and about 2" in the height of the head piece. If he moved his head, it would shift. Perhaps would be better for a +100lb dog or someone that is open to tailor / sew. I don't want to put safety pins to adjust it for fear they would open and hurt my four legged buddy. Will be returning for a medium... hopefully it will fit better and not be too tight in the neck, I will write a review for the medium once that is tried on.

Update: Purchased the medium and although it looked like it fit, but after about 10 seconds my dog was trying to paw it off. As per my dog,.. he liked the large one better.

Yes- I saw the Amazon commercial. Yes, I teared up a little when the dog made a sad face because the baby freaked out over him. Yes, I teared up yet again when he got his lion costume and everyone lived happily ever after. I did buy this for my two Spitzes thanks to that commercial but while they are interesting, they do not look like the picture in the amazon store. Those were two tone as you can see from the picture in this ad. Look at my attached picture for what the real product. Not terrible but not as good either. There are areas where the cloth that the fur is stuck to is visible as well.

I was looking for a lion mane to be Mayor Lionheart in a Zootopia "trunk-or-treat" ensemble. I could not find one for a human that did not include a whole suit, look like the curly hair of the Cowardly Lion from Wizard of Oz, or only have ears. I found this one for a large dog and got it. I took off a star because the hair came out from the main in a near-constant shower and there was no integrated method of closure in the back. All in all, it worked quite well.
