Bought this safe because there is limited space in my bedroom. I had looked at these some time ago and finally bit the bullet and purchased one. It wasn't a long wait, but the day it was delivered it rained heavily. The driver regretted that it had gotten wet, but it was all in order with no visible damage. Took it apart to move it upstairs and reassembles without issue. Everything fit well and had some heft.

When it was in place and together I tested the electronics and they failed. The next day I contacted the company and had a reply that day with a direct line for someone who could help. He talked me through the process and diagnosed the problem and had parts out to me that day. Had the parts within a couple days and a fully functional safe.

I believe a company's product is only as good as the people behind it and this one get an excellent review from me.

As for the safe, the glide is smooth, my son can sit in the drawer at full extension and no issues. Everything fit well and the locking mechanism works well. It does what I need and with a little innovation, might have a small rack system designed to maximize the expansive space.

Better than average security for an under the bed safe! Best out there for this purpose, but costly!

Pros:
*Much better than a locking cabinet. It has think walls and a decently thick door.
*Above average security. This isn't the national guards safe or anything, but it gets the job done. It will keep out your average thief who doesn't know how to lock pick or who cannot carry it out without a moving cart.

NOTE: If you don't secure this safe in another form, then don't buy it because ANY safe has to be either bolted down or at least securely chained.
*Stores many rifles and pistols - Deep drawer
*Optional U bolt if you request it from the manufacturer. I chose this option because drilling into the floor isn't an option in my apartment. I used the U bolt to chain this to my bed with a very heavy chain and lock. It's not that it couldn't be removed, but another challenge/deterrent.
*Quiet opening - Although not completely silent, it is as close as you can get. Keypad buttons can be silenced from beeping.
*Heavy - At 130lbs plus whatever you store in it, I don't think anyone will be walking off with it without a moving cart. Especially since it is 4 feet wide and over 2 feet deep. A very awkward carry, so this is a pro in my book. The curved handles would make it awkward for a grabbing point, so I recommend those over the square handles which cost extra anyways.
*Size - I bought this for a specific purpose. This safe goes under my bed and is chained to my bed frame with the optional U bolt that the manufacturer can install. Space is limited in my place, so this is good for me.

Cons:
*Tubular Cylinder Override Lock - This is a bit of a big one from me which is why I knocked a star off. I have seen these picked somewhat easily; only slightly more secure than your standard 4/5 pin deadbolt lock. There are some cheap tools found online that even an amateur can use to pick these locks within a minute. Although keep in mind that 4% of household break-ins are due to lock manipulation. Most burglars will use blunt force. (Crowbars, screw drivers, hammers, torches, etc). I'd like to see a quality combination dial lock that cannot be "felt out" for it's combo.
*Single steel bar/rod that locks the drawer/door into place. I'd like to see 2 or even 3 of these on the inside. 1 steel rod creates a point of failure and if it is pried apart then this could bend with no backup. Note that there is some space between the door and body. Potentially a wedge point, but no stars removed for this.
*Cost - I spent $685 plus about $53 worth of tax.(Tax varies by location, but you get the point). will say that the price is kind of steep, but can still be worth it for someone like me. I am well aware I could have purchased a different safe that would have stood tall, maybe held more guns and been more secure, thicker, etc. Still no stars removed for this because you should know what you are buying.

In conclusion, this is a specific safe for a specific purpose and kind of person. It is the best of it's kind if it fits YOUR needs. There are a few areas for improvement, but be willing to stretch your wallet a bit wider for it. I will provide an update if anything changes or if I feel that my feelings change about it.

Just bought my 3rd monster vault - much better than the SnapSafe XXL - slightly bigger and tougher bolts system - yes it is $300 more and wieghs more but worth the fuller depth, awesomely storng slides, thicker metal and just feels ans looks more robust. Can with careful packing fit almost a dozen rifles/shotguns in one unit.

Bought this for my son for Christmas. I should have done a review before this but let me say, this thing is sturdy. It is well built, heavy and easy to operate once it is installed. My son loves it and was able to get several long guns in it, hand guns and ammon in it.

The safe is sturdy, roomy, and quite beautiful. I have decided to name it Karyn, because without her desire to see me happy, I wouldn't be writing this. The safe fits like a glove under the bed and leaves an invisible footprint. I have plenty of room for stuff that needs locking up. I like the backup key feature also. Made In The U.S.A.- what can I say? I feel happy thanks to Karyn.
