I think this product ruined my voiceby edward fradera (1 out of 5 stars)

I used it a couple of times and had to stop when i noticed the back of my throat leading down to my wind pipe felt really dry. swallowing felt weird. i laid off the o2 trainer and tried giving my throat some time to heal since my voice became so raspy. Long story short, my voice has not been the same til this day. I once prided myself on sound effects and impressions i could do, but now theres a constant raspiness to my voice, and my head high singing is non existent. Ive been meaning to write this review for some time, and my recent failed attempts to sing christmas carols really bummed me out and felt compelled to share my story in hopes that all singers and voice actors out there are aware at this possible outcome. I still love El Guapo, but i would love to have my voice back.
Big improvement in overall stamina

So far I'm a big fan of this. I have yet to use it during a physical activity but have been using with the standard stationary breathing exercises and have noticed a big improvement in my breathing stamina. I was a smoker for years and really did a number on my stamina. I quit 3 years ago and just thought I did irreversible damage and I would just have to deal with my breathing the way it was. This has definitely helped to prove me wrong. I recommend this to anyone that has quit smoking and is looking to build back up their stamina.
I don't need the asthma inhale anymore

I am writing this with tears in my eyes. This is the first product review I have ever written. I have been suffering from asthma for about 4 years. My problem is that mucus keeps building up in my lungs aggravate my infection. The inhaler helps for sometime. But I didn't like the idea of living on it for the rest of my life. I always look for natural options like herbal tea, vitamins and saunas baths to loosen the mucus and help me remove it from my body. But this product saved and improved my life. It helped me remove fluid buildup in my lunges after 5 minutes session. It works like magic. For asthmatic people like me please try this product it works like magic for me and hopefully for you too. I use the product at level 13 every time day in day out and I have been feeling great . Also I find it easier for me to spend more time at the gym. Best purchase I've ever made in my life.
Great for conditioning, stop worrying about drool.

Anytime you go for a fitness 'gadget' you're kind of taking a gamble. But I was intrigued enough about the idea and put my faith in Bas and, so far, I haven't been let down.
The trainer itself is well made, better actually than it looks in the photos/videos. The rubber is soft and very slightly tacky, feels like some sort of silicon, not old school rubber or even latex. This makes it very comfy to hold and it's pretty taste neutral. You don't feel like you're chewing on a tire.
I haven't been using it long enough to speak to Bas's claims of curing asthma, but it has definitely increased the intensity of my conditioning workouts. It seems to encourage and even enforce 'mechanical breathing', the deep and forceful belly breathing you see from Russian kettlebell men or someone working long hours with a sledgehammer. For me that meant that, even though it was harder to breathe, I felt more engaged and therefore more powerful. I feel like I'm getting more results out of a shorter workout, and I actually feel better after the workout. That's obviously subjective and your mileage may vary.
As for the drool in other reviews...well, you're gonna have a little drool one way or the other. I hold it fairly loosely in my teeth, but high up on the 'bit' so the device is close to my lips. With this method I haven't had much 'leakage', but when you take it out it's going to be dripping with spit anyway. I figure if you're worried about looking stupid from drool, you'd be worried about looking stupid with a big blue piece of rubber sticking out of your gob. The thing works. If you're a drooler, grab a spit towel and just keep working out.
Increase your workout difficulty without looking like comic book villain

I received a blue version of this, otherwise it is precisely what I ordered. There's a learning curve how to properly use the trainer. However Once I figured it out my lung training began and was easily able to figure out where to begin and worked my way up. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is wanting to increase their workout difficulty without looking like comic book villain.
100% worth it.

After about 3 miles, my back doesn't like running so much so I wanted to use this to maximize my cardio within 1.5-2 miles. It's amazing. I feel like it's working.
Before I work out with it, I'll throw the smallest one on while I drive to the gym and change. Sometimes I'll wear it around the house while I'm cleaning and stuff. The nose piece expands slightly but it's really not that big of a deal.
THIS IS NOT A JOKE

If you are not careful, the very first exercise will make you light headed.
Take this seriously and carefully. Start slow.
The instructions are incredibly clear and there's more online.
No matter why, you can increase your overall lung strength with this. Moreso if you add it your workout.
Take your time to develop your muscles and work your way up.

This is an incredible product.
10 stars if I could!
This helped with an old martial injury: scars in the lungs.
I spent years in agony. Limited by my lungs being filled with calcified tissue.
This tool strengthened my diaphragm. Opened up the remainder of my functioning lungs.
Expanded my ability for long term cardio. Months later, I am a leaner man.
Now, I use this o2 trainer for meditation and deep "tummo" practice.
There is nothing quite like this tool, if you use it properly.
Thank you, Bas.
I write this with tears in my eyes. $50 and my life was forever improved.
Thank you.
Overall I like it

As other reviewers have mentiomed the drool factor is a real thing; however the way I approached it was similar to circuit training, go for a few mins then take it out and wipe it off. Not a big deal at least for me as I hit a heavy bag for two and three min rounds. All that being said the o2 trainer appears to work. I noticed improvements in my overall cardio within a week and I am able to use smaller sizes. Besides the mess I really do like this thing and will continue using it. Hope this helps.
The Real Deal!

Been on it for 6 weeks and I am on level 5. I can definitely see the difference in my training and breathing. I am not as consist with my daily breathing exercises with the O2 Trainer. I can't wait to see how much of an better Crossfit Athlete I will be by the end of the summer. I use it 3 days a week during my cardio training.
