WARNING: THIS DOES NOT WORK AT ALL WITH MAGAZINES

The product description on Amazon and even the box of this product says "designed for magazines" and shows the image on rotary magazine, same as I have with all my UMAREX guns. Well, this is not true, it does not work with magazines. I have 4 pellet guns at home with rotary magazines and this simply does not fit. It is way too long (see the image) so it sticks out. It is not even the case of jamming, you simply can't fint the magazine with those pellets in your gun anymore. This pellet ONLY work in single shot pellet guns.

Accurate & lethal

Always be sure of what is behind your target when using these pellets. They punch straight through sheet metal over 30 yards away and keep going. I'm shooting them from a Gamo Silent Stalker IGT.

Very good quality pellets. You have to love German engineering!

This review will have information about this product and some general tips that will hopefully help some people. All pellets have a slightly different ballistic trajectory. The bigger the change in weight and design, the bigger the change in the flight path. Whenever you're using a different pellet, please take the time to take some practice shots and make sight adjustments before hunting. It's more humane for whatever you're harvesting and you'll have a better time hunting.

These pellets are 10.03 grains so they're significantly heavier than the Crossman pellets I was using previously. The Crossman Destroyer pellets are only 7.4 grains. So that means these pellets will travel a little slower, but has more weight so that ultimately means more energy on the target. Force = mass x velocity. You lose a little bit of velocity, but gain over another 1/4 the mass so you will be putting more energy on the target.

The design of these pellets is amazing. It has a strong brass tip that'll withstand the impact with little to no deformation, giving you the penetration through hide and bone (please only use on small game, like squirrels and birds, it is a good pellet, but it IS just a pellet) and then once the brass tip has created that entry channel, the lead pellet itself will then expand, transferring the energy into the target. That's an absolutely perfect design in my book. If there's no expansion of the pellet, it will most likely travel straight through the target and you will lose, whatever energy that is remaining, when the pellet exits. But on the other hand if you just have a hollow point, lead is a heavy, but rather soft metal so it may not be able to pierce the hide/bones and get into the target. Best is to have a hard tip to create the entry channel and then let the pellet expand when it gets to the vitals (heart, lungs, etc) and transfer all of the energy into the target and come to a stop. Penetrate, expand, and transfer all of the energy, which creates a shock wave internally tearing the tissue that absorbs the energy (the most humane way to put something down. The goal is to make it drop without suffering). I would say these are brilliantly designed in terms of all of the things I laid out above.

The last picture I added with the smashed pellets, that was at about 40 yards and I was shooting at a steel rimfire bullet trap. It gives you a good understanding of how the brass tip holds together on impact. Remember, that's a thick steel trap so if it can hold together hitting that, it'll hold together on bone. Steel is stronger than bone. At 40 yards and I was able to consistently get groupings within the size of a quarter (not using bipods, sand bags, or rifle sled and a relatively cheap pellet gun) so that says something about these pellets. I would definitely recommend these pellets and please remember to hunt safely and ethically!

My opinion on pellets
by ahiker4u (4 out of 5 stars)

I have bought many different types and brands of air gun pellets from Amazon and its various suppliers. I'm not going to say which is better than another BECAUSE it depends on so many different factors. There are different air gins out there, break barrel, single stroke, PCP, and CO2. A pellet type that works well in one type of air gun may prove inferior in another type. Plus there is also is the fact each rifle barrel is slightly different than another one of the same type. Thus pellets may act differently in each gun. My suggestion is to buy several types and just give it a try. SOMETIMES cheap pellets work great but usually are inconsistent in the long run just due to lack of quality control. Sometimes they are damaged in shipment. JSB, H&N, RWs, and Pedator generally are very good pellets. Sometimes I want a cheaper pellet to just check out a trigger, rough sight in of a scope, ect. Hope this helps.

Incredible power and accuracy!

OMG!! The most accurate and hardest hitting pellet I've ever shot! While testing 9 other pellets, this is the only one to go through a 2 inch phone book. My Crosman Fire NP rifle loves these pellets. Knock down power is just incredible. These pellets are kind of expensive, but well worth the money.

Change of Heart.

Extremely accurate with tons of punch.

I used these with a Gamo G Force Tac youth rifle (750 psi max) at 10 yards open sight.

You can see the grouping and Penetration. I have no doubt that with a High powered rifle this things could take out a fox, coon, or possum with a clean head shot. Hands down these are the best pellets for hunting. Worth every Dime.

I can't wait to use them with my Gamo Maxxim Swarm.

Very good quality engineering

These pellets came very well packaged. I was actually very impressed with the consistency of the pellet weights. I weighed 50 random pellets and out of that 50, all measured in at exactly 9.8 grains except for two that came in at 9.6. The pellets come in a round tin that has a cardboard wafer divider between each layer to protect the pellets. Very good quality engineering. What else would you expect from Germany? They shoot nice and flat and hit hard from my Crosman 1377.

They come apart and will damage your gun.

The quality of these pellets at at least the ones I recieved were poor.

The brass pointed tips were falling out of the lead pellet, which if had been just a couple I could understand but multiple is a problem.
I removed the few when I first got them.
I have a gamo swarm pellet gun the uses a 10 round clip and I checked every pellet prior to loading it.

They still ended coming apart this time in the gun causing damage to the gun.

I would purchase these Hornet .177 again.

The also say right on the label designed for magazines.

Please see the photos

Go with the Sniper Magnum for a better option
by Tainted1 (2 out of 5 stars)
August 16, 2019

I got these things thinking that they would be superior to the the Sniper Magnum pellets that I have from the same brand and I was wrong. First off they are double the price for less pellets in the tin. Second the grouping is definitely more spread out than the magnums so an obvious less accurate pellet. Third I really don't see a difference in penetration. So overall these are a far less of a pellet over the magnum for nearly double the price.
