Awesome for your Survival kit, and an efficient double-use case
by Hyperiox (5 out of 5 stars)

I didn't know I needed this so much until I stumbled across it. Survival kit had bandanas in it before, but I hadn't thought about getting one that has information on it like this. I love items that serve multiple purposes, and turning a bandana into an information pamphlet is right up my alley. The info on this bandana is great, and it's not just "painted" on so it won't peal off like other products.

I feel they could have added a bit more information on it, like more medical info, more knots and more info about hunting, gathering, fishing, etc... but this is more of a future-state suggestion. There is more room on it, but it wouldn't be as pretty to look at I guess...

I highly recommend this bandana, it is the most complete item in it's field I have seen, and I have bought some of the competing products to evaluate.

The BEST bandana out there
by UrbanOutdoorsman (5 out of 5 stars)

I purchased this thinking I would getting a usual bandana with a few tips scribbled on it. I was pleasently surprised when I received the actual product. It is already cut into a large triangular shape so that it is easier for you to tie around your head and it is big enough where people with big heads, like me, won't have any issue. Although I do feel like it could have more information on other stuff like medical, fishing, plants, etc... I feel like this is the essential information that you need to be reminded of when stuck in a bad situation. This isn't something to rely on, and you should have a survival guide or some other informational material with you. This is more than plenty information and the material it is made from is very durable and absorbent. I love this product and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice bandana to go camping or hiking.

A Survival Bandana Useful when you ARE Outdoors
by Thomas Coffey,Top Contributor: Camping (5 out of 5 stars)

A "Survival Bandana" is basically a big enough piece of cloth with visible color (like blaze orange) that you can signal with for help. Then, since it's cloth you can use it AS a cloth to wipe, clean, bandage, and stuff. You can use it to filter debris from water you will further treat. You can also rip it up and tie strips to branches as markers. And, if it's cotton, you can use pieces as tinder for a fire.

Now makers have begun to imprint info on these as well - some even reflective so it can work as a marker at night with your light. But most I've seen have imprinted information that is better read before you leave on your trek, advising how to be prepared rather than how to do a certain thing.

THIS bandana, however, has useful information and illustrations about how to do something you now need to do, finding yourself in need in the outback. Good job!

ALSO, the bandana is large as a signal device, and triangular in shape - as a large military bandage is that can be used to make a sling or tie a splint. Good job!

Finally, the material isn't cotton, so don't try to use it as tinder. But being synthetic material, it is stronger for its other roles.

Good gift for outdoorsy types - they'll like it even if they think they know it all.

Great stuff for a decent price
by CVV (5 out of 5 stars)

There's a box telling you what to focus during an emergency and in which order which, during a crisis, can help you calm down and starting doing stuff instead of running around aimlessly.

Lots of useful info on the key survival techniques, some useful knots.

The fabric breathes reasonably well. When used as a bandanna, there's enough left to protect your neck against the sun (mind that your ears will remain exposed unless you used the technique in the pictures).

I've used it to make a immobilization sling for my 10 year old son, worked well. I suspect that to use that on an adult you'd have to use the provided safety pin or two bandannas tied together as it would be too short. I also used to wrap around a plastic bag with ice to reduce swelling without burning the skin.

A multiple use bandana, Great purchase!

I bought this bandana as a gift for my husband who does a lot of hiking and camping. He loved it!

This is a very large bandana and has tons of possible uses. You could use it as a sling, headcovering, sweatband, pre-filter from water sources and immobilization if you have an injury. It's a very bright orange color which is great to use for emergency signaling. You also won't lose it in the woods if you drop it, it's very visible. It's best feature though, is the wealth of information on the bandana itself. Many basic survival skills printed right on the bandana. Great idea!!

Worth buying for the whole family

Oversized for your typical bandana, which is awesome! Great weight. My family and I have been building our BOBs (bug out bags). I have been wanting to find something like this for a while, it is nice it has instructions on it. Very versatile. I bought one to test out to see if it was worth getting more. I am thrilled to say it is, I will be purchasing one for each of us. Super excited. I love how brightly colored this one is as well, it is going to make it nice to hike and camp with.

great info to have handy in such a creative way

my husband and i are big hikers and i always use either buffs or kerchiefs and these seemed to be better

in terms of the color (in case we need help being seen from a helicopter!!!!) and they have so many uses.

i bought 4 - one for each hiking pack and we're also on our CERT teams for emergency preparedness, and 2

will go in those packs as well.

we're very happy with the purchase and you can't beat the price

Survival Bandana very comprehensive.

I was impressed with all the info they squeezed into this simple square. You might want to pack a magnifying glass if your eyesight is less than optimum, but that would be my only caveat. For anyone who wants to travel light, it would replace a lot of books and paper info; I would take it anywhere there was a chance I could be stranded.

Survival training....I GOT IT!
by R. Loper (5 out of 5 stars)

This is great! Large size can be used for MANY things. The survival info is actually useful information (unlike other bandanas that said to avoid areas with bears, stay hydrated, etc DUH). They even sent some large safety pins with it. My Venturing Scout packed it right up in her survival gear and is out in the freezing temps for week. Maybe it'll keep her head warm :)
