Light turns on randomly

The design concept is fantastic! However the device we received would turn on randomly when in my Wife's purse when she didn't even touch it. Unfortunately because of this we had to return this because of this design flaw. Otherwise it would be perfect.

Nice concept, just a couple problems

I thought this was an interesting product -- one that would be perfect for my friend-who-has-everything. So I bought it for her birthday. This light consists of two halves of a plastic shell, with batteries and a bulb with a motion sensor in between. The two halves twist together. When movement is sensed, the light comes on. This is very handy when you are looking for something in a deep, dark handbag, or even in a dark drawer. Aesthetically, the design is just ubercool -- smooth edges and white translucent shell make it a fine gift. Even the packaging could be a gift box on its own. Overall, it's a really smart concept and I liked the product, but for two things (and thus only 4 stars): 1) The two halves come apart rather easily in a handbag, what with all the jostling and such. And 2) The price is WAY much. I paid too much for this item, around $30+. I think $10 would be better, but perhaps this company is not mass-producing these yet.

This was sent to a friend that has night blindness and cannot see in her black bags. I did a search on amazon for a bag light and came across this item and had it shipped to her in Florida. My friend calls it her aspirin since its shape remind her of an aspirin and absolutely thinks its awesome item to have. She was so happy to be able to see in all her handbags that have dark insides now. Even more happy to be able to use all the bags her husband had given her through out their marriage before he pass away. Awesome item to own!!!

I love being able to dig in my bag and find something. I love that the light is oval, not a cumbersone ball. I'm completely satisfied with both the product and the timeliness of delivery. I would purchase this product again!

This is such a cool idea! The light is not too bright so if you're in a movie theater or something and you're digging though your purse, it's not a distraction to your neighbors. The size is also perfect, it's a smooth pebble shape about the size of the palm of your hand. It is motion activated which is wickedly cool, but my only complaint is that it seems to take a little while to go off.

One Works, the Other Not So Much

Ordered two as Christmas presents. Both worked upon opening. One quit by the end of the day. The still working one is doing a fine job lighting up the deep, dark purse cavern. The other sits unlit and forlorn on the side table. Sadly, all packaging for an easy return was thrown out in the Christmas clean-up frenzy. To be fair, have not reached out for a replacement as of yet. Suppose rating influenced by the out-sized Christmas Day disappointment caused by one out of two not working regardless of happenstance.

The sleek design is really nice and the size is great (slightly larger than the palm of my hand). It lights up my bag well but it only turns on when I touch it, which is not what the description claims about the proximity sensor. I think that in terms of the length of time that it is activated, it's pretty accurate and stays on for 10 seconds, if not a little less. All in all, it's not my favorite purchase and I definitely think it's overpriced for what it is considering its not activated by the automatic sensor.

Not bright enough, turn off too quickly.

I bought the SOI handbag light after seeing it on a YouTuber. It does turn itself on; however, it shuts off too quickly. I can't even find the item in my handbag, and it's already off. Also, it's not bright enough. I now carry a small LED flashlight with me and keep it in the zipper pocket. It works better.

Works as described but not bright to illuminate whole bag

I purchased this for a large black leather bag that I use often. The light is very sensitive and always turn on when I was in my bag but the light was never bright enough to illuminate the whole bag. I often would pick up the light and use as a flashlight to search through my bag which was helpful.

For all your lighting inside a purse needs

Bought this thing for my girlfriend she is always rooting through her purse for something and it is usually her phone so far it has made her finding stuff in her purse a lot easier. It doesn't kick on while your walking around only does when it senses you moving stuff inside the purse or if you physically touch the light. works very well and honestly surprised that it doesn't come on while walking, but it doesn't does exactly what I bought it for
