I used caramel sauce and caramels together for a delicious caramel apple. The trays are big enough for the easy rolling of large apples. The sticks are thin and have no sharpened tip, so I would use larger pointed sticks. The only downside is that it takes a bit of time for caramels to melt, that is why I added caramel sauce to help. The temperature is perfect for the caramel to stay warm and dip ready.

Y did not meet my expectations - the sauce pot either did not wor properly - it scorched the caramel sauce and on the other setting , it was not hot enough. It was a gift for my grandson so that was a big disappointment for both of us. In fact I am in the process of sending it back. Thanks for asking.

Does not heat candy very well....only chocolate and caramel
