This is a hilarious and really well made product and I only wish it was a little bigger. It's a little tricky to get out of the mold with no finger breakage but the best way I've found is to allow it to begin to thaw just slightly so you aren't fighting with it at all. We had a horror themed party and I made several of these in black and green to float in white punch so I wish I had bought more than one but it was worth the effort. I just kept the hands in a baggie frozen as hard as possible and made sure the punch was as cold as possible by chilling it with ice cubes and fishing them out just before dropping the hands in. The next thing I'm going to try is to make a gelatin one with the classic Knox blox recipe.

I bought this mold for my son's shark themed birthday party. I took me a few tries to figure out how to get the shark completely filled into the freezer without spilling it. My recommendation is to find a spot in the freezer where it sits completely flat and then fill it with a spouted measuring cup or water bottle. It is almost impossible to fill at the sink and then bring to the freezer without spilling.

My kids thought it was the coolest thing ever!

I will be putting them in a punch bowl with blue juice so it looks like they are swimming in water!

We love the concept, and when we can get the ice hand out, it's very cool (I know) and also really a hit for our zombie TV show parties, but sometimes the fingers want to break off and it becomes near impossible to get it out in one piece.

When that occurs, we add more water to reinforce the fingers and it will eventually work out.

Ok, the thrill is kind of gone after the first time you shock your kids with a shark or alligator in their drink, but after that it is still perfectly useful as -- well, ice!!! :0) Kind of pricey for a one-time gag, but worth it for April Fool's Day or some such. :0)

Makes 1 large size shark ice cube. It's kinda hard to remove once frozen and even harder to move from sink to freezer without spilling when filling!

It's hard to transfer to the freezer without spilling the water out everywhere. I recommend filling it up while it's in the freezer (so you don't have to move it)

Other then that it comes out great!

Bought it for a friend. Looks to be good quality. But it should come in a or 3 pack so more can be frozen at once.
