Perfect function for what is listed, high quality!

Some of the one star reviews are people saying that this map doesn't have detail, or that it isn't a map to document places traveled. To those reviews I must say that the map is clearly listed as "Bucket List World Map". A bucket list is experiences that someone hopes to accomplish during their life. This map is meant to encourage travel and also to help non travels find things to do or help them set goals such as seeing the cliffs of moher in Ireland. The low reviews are undeserving, they are more of a lack of attention to detail or research in the product.

However, I must say that this map is of high quality, and seemed like a much better bet than those other scratch maps. This map is laminated and the places that you scratch off are placed right over that lamination. That means that when you scratch off the places you have been it will not ruin what is under it, which was a problem with some of the other scratch off maps. I enjoy the cartoon drawings, they aren't so plain as the other maps I was looking at. It adds character to it and at least you can see some of the landmarks the countries are known for. You can use a eraser, coin, key, nail etc. I used a coin and cleaned it up with an eraser.

One thing I wish was different is the United states portion as well as some of the other countries (i.e. having a separate area for Scotland, England etc.) don't have individual sections within them, they are just the entire country. I knew this when I purchased it so I can't complain!

Bought this for my in laws who travels often and they absolutely love it. The put it in a frame but without the glass so they can scratch it as they go places. It is a wonderful gift for any traveler.

This is a fun map, but my biggest disappointment is that nothing smaller than the country is outlined. I was trying to scratch of state-by-state the areas I had visited in the US, but there's no way to do that, especially because the proportions are off. Same for cities in other countries. A lot of guess work goes into it if you're going for accuracy. Aside from that, it's good quality and a nice way to track your travels.

Absolutely great gift, so many more adventurers to document on that map. Larger countries could have been broken up into smaller sections though.
