BumpTek will give you peace of mind the next time you park by cushioning minor parking bumps. BumpTek is different from other license plate frames because of its unique " KangoPouch" patent pending design, which acts like a kangaroo pouch to securely hold and support your license plate. Simply slide in your license plate from the open top slot and bolt the product to your vehicle.

BumpTek is made from a super durable flexible rubber that compresses and returns back to its original shape (similar to a rubber band). Specially formulated rubber material can withstand hot and cold climates. Product remains flexible even at freezing temperatures and will never crack or rust like metal or plastic license plate frames.

BumpTek was designed so that all mounting screws are recessed into the rubber frame - this was done to protect other vehicle bumpers from protruding screws.

I purchased this Bumptek to guard the front bumper of my new 2014 Toyota Camry SE. So far I haven't had any incidents to test the Bumptek and hope I don't. When I parallel park, Bumptek adds a more peace of mind so when that JERK who parked in front of me 'lightly bumps' my Camry to tell when they've backed up too far, he/she won't do too much damage to my front bumper.

I purchased the Bumptek Extreme Edition to protect my new Camry's front bumper. It was easy to install. The two holes matched right up to my California license plate. Bumptek did not cover any of my license plate lettering. The only concern I had was since the license plate drops in from the top, will that opening allow water/rain to get into the license plate sleeve and maybe rust the plate or mold or whatever. So, I turned my Bumptek upside down to allow drainage.

I looked at another brand but chose Bumptek because it did not have any bright colored advertisement on it to make it look 'hokey'. The all black design makes Bumptek look like it came with my Camry.

I'm very satisfied with this product, it fits and looks perfect on my 2008 Mazda 3. Very stylish, good quality piece. Since it rubber you can bend it on any form and at any angle. Inside the package was set of two different type of screws. I installed it in less than 5 minutes.

I bought this because I was afraid someone was going to back into my bumper while parked. I have this on my 2007 Honda Odyssey and it fits fine on it. Does not look weird or ugly, looks nice on my dark blue vehicle. My front bumper did not have drilled holes for the bottom of my front license plate. All we had to do was slide the license plate into the holder and placed the screws on. I used the original screws that came with the car, but will be getting the screws that are difficult to remove because I can see how a person would want to steal this from you. Its made from a sturdy flexible rubber type material. I see it lasting for a long time. Will update my review if anything new comes up.

I live in Boston and the way people here drive and park just makes me so anxious! I've gotten scratches, bumps, and all sorts of dings from reckless drivers. After I got a new car, I decided I had to take preventative measures so I bought this BumpTek extreme edition rubber license frame. I don't like to mess around so I just got the thicker extreme edition (which is 0.5" thicker than the classic edition). The rubber material is quite thick and substantial, but doesn't look ridiculous.

Also, the holes in the Bumptek rubber license cover are 7 inches apart (which is perfect for the holes that came pre-drilled in my license plate and front bumper). I read some reviews for other rubber license plate protectors which said that if the rubber frame covers the words in your license plate, you can get a ticket. My Massachusetts license didn't have any of the words/numbers covered by this Bumptek rubber frame. Thank goodness!

Overall, I feel like this will definitely keep my car from getting dinged from bad drivers trying to parallel park in front of me.

Short screws

Screws were not nearly long enough. For what I paid I shouldn't have to go buy screws. It's ugly but I knew that when I ordered it so not subtracting stars for that. It does look like it will protect against light taps which is what I wanted it for. It doesn't interfere with any of my sensors on my new car, but finding black screws long enough was a pain, should have sent the right screws with it. My car only has 2 screw holes so it has to be secure.

So far so good! Some of the other products had annoying red company logos on them, and unless they are paying me to advertise, I will not do so. This one has the logo in black so you can barely see it. Came with 4 pointy screws and 4 non-pointy screws. I used the pointy ones and they fit well, seeming to be of good quality. I hope they are stainless/rustproof, but I don't know yet, so I will update at a later point. The product is thick yet soft, and sturdy. I wish it had a clear plastic cover, like my old product, to keep my license plate clean too, but I guess that would be asking too much. I bought it because people are so inconsiderate when parking, and think it's okay to play bumper cars. Since car companies don't put nice bumpers on cars anymore, I figured this product was a good investment.
2 YEAR UPDATE: It's holding up well, but the screws have gotten rusty. I will have to find some new rust-proof screws that fit. The plate continues to do a great job protecting the front of the car (knock on wood!). After I wash the car, I coat this item with Armor All to keep the rubber fresh & happy!

I'm VERY happy with the quality of this product. The solid yet flexible rubber was extremely easy to mount and both self-tapping mounting screws and bolts were included. LOOKS GREAT and provides solid protection from front end taps and bumps. Perfectly fit the dimensions of my VA license plates. Highly Recommended!

PS - I got pulled over by a Virginia State Police officer for a different issue (accessory front light bar). He looked carefully at the front license plate in this frame. No ticket for either issue. So...there's that...

It seems like a good product but I was not thrilled for a few reasons, it's an overpriced piece of rubber, it is not stylish and it can throw off your front sensors because it is very thick. The bolts provided are too short. This frame requires for you to attach it with all four bolts because it's a heavy product.

I like all purchases I made from Bumptek so fat. This one is very easy to install and I find I should have purchased one of these years ago.

If you vallet park your car, especially in NYC, Manhattan, then you probably had the exprience of getting your cat back from the parking attendant and seeing a scratch on the front of the car. The parking attendants sometimes park the cars so close to each other, that they actuall touch other cars. Once , in 2008 , I had my EZ Pass reader attached on my front license plate, per official instructions as the inner glass coating of my pontiac would otherwise prevent the proper automated reading. What I found in that case was that EZ Pass device "smashed" and hanging down when the car was returned to me. I guess it took the brunt of the hit. Parking attendants are not necessarily better at handling my or your car and when in hurry or distracted it may happen to you as well.
Your plate in actually put in the rubber pocket, which is part of the whole rubber piece, thus the plate will never touch the car. The depth of the rubber is about 1", which seems enough to absorb even small bumps into another object (garage wall for example) or maybe even a car, whose distracted driver jumped on both the brake and accelertor pedals simultaneously on green light.

Nice quality rubber that will absorb light hit. I have only two screw holes, and used the black screws that came with it. I also used the bottom screws, as my 2017 Dodge Durango GT had a plastic plate holder that I installed the Bump Tek on top of. I simply used the other two (bottom) screws to secure the bottom of the Bump Tek via self-tapping into the plastic plate. Now, the Bump Tex is very secure, and at least I have some parallel parking protection from other vehicles. Happy with my purchase.
