I got this to make a pie for a work Pi Day potluck, and it was a HIT!!!! The pan is sized to use standard deep 9 in crust recipe and filling, and bakes using the same oven temps and time. I'm looking forward to experimenting with banana breads, etc., with it. Coworkers were taking pictures and asking where I got it, so Amazon may be getting a bunch of orders! Best pan ever!!!! Thank you, Pi People LLC!!!

Was a Big Hit on Pi Day - Very Cool

Looks great. Cooks well too. Good for brownies, especially if you like the sides to be a little crispier.

Downside is that it is very soft metal. A butter knife will fairly easily scratch it. So be careful with it and don't let others go to town cutting pieces out. Hand wash. Also the edges are unrefined and a little sharp, but not a big deal.

We also own the silicon pie/cake pi pan, but it doesn't cook evenly with 2 different layers. Plus you can't make a pie in it as easily as in this one, and this pan is larger. We also like the metal vs. silicon since it's more durable. Wish it came in non-stick, but... it's the only one out there. Best gift ever for my autistic boy who has pi memorized to nearly 100 digits and loves to bake. ;)

This Pi pan was awesome. I made a pi pie as part of a going away gift for a fellow math professor, and he lit up. Everyone got a kick out of it, totally worth the money spent.

Made a Pi cherry pie today. It uses a standard amount of pie filling for a 9" pie with a standard 2 crust recipe. It takes more work to fit the crust to the pi shape, but the result is worth it.
