Suddenly won't pair, but replaced under warranty

Purchased this speaker in March 2014. I have to say it sounded better than I thought it would on the window sill in the bathroom and in the pool. On the basis that it seems sturdy, I invested further in it by buying some rechargeable AA Eneloop batteries for it. In mid-June 2014 it suddenly made a loud buzzing noise and now will no longer pair with any device. There has been no water intrusion. Removed batteries to allow it to perhaps reset, but there was no change in the malfunction. I have attempted to contact the manufacturer for warranty service (one year warranty) and have had no reply. On that basis, I give this product only two stars. It was great while it lasted.

UPDATE, July 9, 2014: Within a week or so of posting the above review, a public relations or service representative for Ivation contacted me by phone at my office. The rep offered to replace the unit which would no longer pair, and also asked me to consider changing my review. In light of the fact that the warranty has in fact now been honored, I am giving this product four stars.

BUYER BEWARE, when you send it back because it doesn't work they charge you a "restocking fee" ...yes! They're going to restock a "waterproof speaker" that gurgles like a drowning rat when you barely splash it with water! So much for the $102.48 I spent to get it!!!

It has a longer range than I expected when used outdoors and doesn't need charging nearly as much as I thought it would. The sound quality is pretty good for a rugged product and pairing was easy with an iPhone 5S. I would give them more money for a product that would let me skip ahead/back in Pandora or Spotify.

Works well. The volume and sound quality are pretty good and the Bluetooth distance is plenty. The sound is a little muffled with the screen covering the speaker but there is no reason to leave it on as it has nothing to do with the waterproofing.

The idea was great but not when you have kids in the pool

This lasted maybe 2 weeks. The idea was great but not when you have kids in the pool. Due to rough play in the water, the radio was submerged a few times. Now all we can hear is static.

I presented this item to my brother as a birthday gift. It was used upon opening. It was a great first impression. It produces as described so far. I will update my post in a year as the summer is now over.

The speaker works well and loud for only a few minutes and then gets so low in sound that you can hardly hear it. Very disappointed with the performance for the price.

It works exactly as advertised, maybe even better! Teenagers are happy they can listen to their music in the pool as they float around on rafts....well done!

Does what it's supposed to do. But have to keep phone close to the speaker or the music quality will be bad. Light on speaker is very small and not really even a light at all. Not the best quality.
