Safe sand is a fine, white playsand perfect for making sand castles and engaging in important developmental play. Safety tested nontoxic, safe sand is very low dust and great for indoor and outdoor use. Unlike most sand sold in hardware stores, safe sand does not contain inhalant crystalline silica dust (known to cause respiratory illnesses). Unlike colored sand or pea gravel, safe sand is fine enough to mold when wet for sand castles. When dry it flows smoothly between the fingers without a chaulky residue.
