Key tool here for doing the spark plugs on our M112 V-6 in my wife's e320 wagon.

Will also come in handy when I do the plugs on my 2002 ML 500 with the M113 V-8.....at 16 plugs, I'm not looking forward to doing that job, but at least the right tool is at hand.

I wouldn't try doing the job without this tool, there is such tight clearance there, that removal and also install of the new wires is far easier using this to, in effect, 'lever' the boot off the plug end, safely and with no real chance of breaking either plug or wire.

One tip: Removing the Coils from the valve cover mount allows for more room to angle the wrench.

Even though this might seem a hassle, I suggest it especially of you're doing both a plug & wire replacement - which only makes sense as the plugs should go 100 k miles and assuming that to be 5 years +, the wires may be suspect by that time, and due to the accessibility factor, replacing the wires only makes logical sense.

I did both the plugs & wires on my wife's e320 and the resulting smoothness of operation is amazing. The engine now feels turbine like: a smooth & seamless flow of power, significantly improved over the old plugs & wires.

For all you fellow MB owner who are serious DIY'ers, this is a practical, super $$$ saving 'routine maintenance' procedure !

Bought this tool to use on my Mercedes M113 engine. Worked perfectly. Did not think I will need it until next time I needed to pull the plugs, until I found a leak from an oil sender on my Mercedes M119 engine, and this tool helped me do the job in 15 minutes instead of wasting my time and being frustrated because other ranches would not fit in that space. This tool because of the angle made the job easy. Happy I bought it and I am sure I will find other uses for it.

Indispensable for removing and reinstalling the ignition wires on the Mercedes V-6 and V-8 engines with twin-spark systems. The boots on those wires have incredibly tenacious connectors, and with the limited clearance around the engine it is REALLY hard to get the wires off and on without this tool. I highly recommend this tool and the price is right!. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it could use a slight 'tweak'.... the angle wasn't right to allow access to the rearward-most wire on the left bank of my '01 CLK320 (due to the engine bay clearance). Other than that, I guarantee you this tool will save you a lot of time and pain.

I just replaced the spark plugs in a Mercedes W163 (ML320 - v6), and this wrench is SO GOOD at its job (disconnecting spark plug wires from the spark plugs) that once you have it, you question whether you need it, because the tool makes the job so easy. It seems silly to use a wrench for nothing but plucking spark plug wires, but they're quite hard to grasp and pull straight out by hand with enough force, and this wrench makes it as easy as flicking seeds out of a lemon.

Wrench was essential in changing spark plugs for a W163 ML500 - it helped to pull out the spark plug connectors using leverage against the engine block, which using hands or other tools would have taken much longer. In addition, the clearance on the driver's side was very minimal, and pushing connectors back in was only possible with this tool as it was able to hug around the connector and pulling on it gave enough leverage to click in especially in the several last plugs towards the rear.

if you have a MB and DIY sparkplugs, this is a must... even though the title on the product says V6, it also applies to the V8 M113 engine and for the price, makes short work of getting the plugs out at no risk of pulling / damaging of wires. This tool let me save $600 on what the dealer wanted to charge me to do plugs .. (and i upgraded the plugs to irridium to boot)

I bought this because it was suggested for a 2006 Mercedes c280 Luxury w203. I'm sure it it is great on other cars, but not needed for my type of car. My car uses a socket wrench with an extension and socket bit to remove spark plugs.

The tool seems strong and light weight, made from heavy metals, and of good quality. I just don't need it. I should have done more research before buying it.

Great tool, came packaged very nicely. I will update after a few uses,I was honestly expecting it to look and feel cheap. It doesn't, it actually feels and looks great and came in a timely manner. Will be using this to remove and install the boots on my wife's 1998 ML320 these boots are a PITA. Easy to remove but because of their location this tool will help me to endure they are all seated properly.

Makes reaching in and getting boots off a lot easier on a W210 Mercedes. Will I use it on any other car? Probably not... but consider it a part of the costs savings versus taking it to the dealer.
