The Orioles prefer this one!!
by Rita T (5 out of 5 stars)

By adding splashes of orange color (in the form of left-over autumn leaf decorations) to our patio, one Oriole quickly became a dozen and counting. With more feathered friends to feed, I ordered three additional feeders of different designs not knowing which would work out best.

The first is a flat, circular feeder with nectar and orange segment capabilities. They totally ignore this one. The second is a larger capacity nectar-only feeder with orange accents. The Orioles land on it but, so far, the only birds to feed from it are the hummingbirds. Finally, and happily, this combo of jelly feeder and orange segment feeder that they absolutely love. As many as three at a time hang on it while others line up or perch nearby waiting to sneak in for a turn.

I wish I had known how successful this one was going to be and I'd have ordered three of them and none of the others. Based on the choice the Orioles have made, I highly recommend this feeder.

Tons of birds!!
by Amazoncustomer (5 out of 5 stars)

I rarely write product reviews but this has far exceeded my expectations. I saw my first ever Oriole a few weeks ago. He was here and then gone. Decided to get a feeder. I was unsure how this would work. I bought 2. Put out the oranges and put grape jelly in the cups. Day 1 nothing, but on the second day I had tons! Every day since I have had at least 7-14 birds and am going through a ton of grape jelly. Now these are migratory birds so they won't be here all year, but I am really enjoying them while I have them. Success will depend on where you are located and where they are in their migration.

Attracted Orioles Quickly!
by BF (5 out of 5 stars)

Attracted Hooded Orioles in So Cal within 5 days of putting it out in backyard. I used Welches grape jelly and a mandarin. I was concerned about bees and insects getting into the jelly so I read that some people put a little water on the jelly, just enough to cover the jelly and that has deterred insects so far and the orioles don't mind the watered down jelly at all. I haven't seen the Orioles go for the mandarin yet, but I think it helps attract them in the first place to the jelly and the nearby nectar feeder. I am going to try valencia oranges next. I've got no complaints at all. This feeder works great! Sturdy, functional and attractive!

Hooded orioles use this feeder. I have more coming ...
by Michael Evans-Layng (5 out of 5 stars)

Hooded orioles use this feeder. I have more coming to feed then ever before. I use grape jam and oranges. I have tried other citrus, but the birds didn't eat it. I have 2 tips: 1. Cut the oranges in half at an angle. Trim the backside off a little so you can see the center well. When you stab the backside of the orange get it right in the center. Turn the halves so that the thicker sides are down. This helps keep them on the feeder. 2. If you have trouble with the little jar staying in place, then put a rubber band around the top just under the rim. I use those rubber bands that come on asparagus or other vegetables. The bands will rot in the sun after awhile and need replacement.

Butterflies and Bees enjoy also!!!

Keep the fruit and jelly fresh - pollinators will visit! If it does not hang straight then use a twistie tie to help it not move. I added three pix of butterfly and bee visitors - hopefully birds are visiting as well.

Best Oriole Feeder
by Thresa (5 out of 5 stars)

I love this feeder and have had orioles on it within a week of getting it. The jelly jar holds enough for about a week of the orioles coming. They like the oranges too and it isn't a cheap plastic feeder that looks ugly. I like the metal and the simplicity of it. The orioles love it too! Update. The glass came up missing. I wish they made replacements. I just used a plastic bathroom cup to replace the other one and it works fine. I have had mine a couple of years and it is still orange and I think they return anyway from last year because they know it is here. I have had 3 pair of orioles fighting over it and will order another one. We use a hook to hang the chain on so that it hangs even and wire it.

The Orioles Love It
by Thomas J. Mcguire (5 out of 5 stars)

The oriole feeders I was seeing in stores were either cheap and made of plastic or expensive. A quick look on Amazon brought my attention to the Heath Clementine Oriole Feeder. It is strong and easy for the orioles to use. I especially like the heavy glass jelly cup which can be removed from the feeder and brought indoors to wash and refill. The orange halves go on the spikes easily and stay on regardless of how spirited feeding time is. A really fine product which I'm sure to use for years.

Great Oriole feeder
by Joanne W (5 out of 5 stars)

LOVE this, I love the dish that holds the jelly (its the same exact thing as some of my less expensive votive candle holders and will be easy to replace if it ever breaks) and I love that I can put 2 orange halves on it. I hung it up yesterday and within a few hours the Orioles were all over it. I do highly recommend ant motes for the top, which I found on Amazon too. Before I the ant motes I had TONS of ants all over the oranges, they would eat up the orange in day!

The Orioles Came Calling Right Away
by Birder Girl (4 out of 5 stars)
May 18, 2018

My 3rd attempt at an oriole feeder is a success. The orioles came right away and perched on the wire above the jelly. Many other birds like the oranges and jelly as well, esp. finches and woodpeckers. The orange slices were falling off off the pegs so I bought a couple of tips and a few washers at the hardware store to secure the oranges on to the pegs. (note: I took the feeder in to store to get the right sizes.) I could not get orioles to feed in a feeder with any kind of roof or cover which is why this one seems to be the solution. Only regret is that the jelly jar is very small. The birds empty it in a couple of hours.

Came Promptly. It was easy to hang and now I have a dedicated binch of Orioles using the feeder every day. I am on my second pound of grape Jelly. As a bonus Red Bellied Wood Peckers really like the oranges
