Since there is no information in the listing to tell you what size your dog would wear, I ended up buying a medium for my dog. However, it was huge, so I ended up exchanging it for a small. I'll include a photo of the size charts for both of these vests so you can decide what size to get for your dog. I'm not sure why the seller isn't including the size chart in the listing.

My dog is a 12lb bichon/shih tzu mix and the small fits him perfectly. These vests are adjustable in the front and also under the belly. It not only closes with velcro, but also with a snap buckle. So, it seems very secure. The tag shows that you are supposed to lift your dog out of the water by the fin and the handle at the same time. I think that would be a difficult maneuver. I do wish there were 2 handles if you're supposed to lift from the front and the back. But, we haven't tried to lift our dog out of the water with this on yet. I saw another reviewer mention that the velcro got stuck in their dog's hair. Our dog has long fluffy hair and that hasn't been an issue with us. He doesn't love wearing it. But, we have put it on him several times for a few minutes to get him used to it. We took him out in the boat and he went for a swim in the lake while wearing this life vest. It worked well too keep him afloat and it was easy to lift him out, too.

Most importantly, this seems to be a well made life jacket that will keep my dog safe in the lake. Also, he will look like a shark and who doesn't love a fluffy white shark?

Well bought this little shark jacket for our peanut butter ball. We love, she hates it.. but she hates everything and everyone so its all good. It's a really great jacket. The only thing that gets a little annoying is every time she is wearing it, our Weimaraner follows behind her saying "duhh dunn.. duhh dunn.. duhh dunn.. duhhhh nununnnnunnnunn."

Fern is 24lbs.

A little chesty.

But she rocks it.

this little life jacket works perfect for my french bulldogs. the jacket is very well made and keeps him afloat nice and balanced. It is very easy to adjust as well. the shark fin makes your pup look so darn cute too! really love the handle on top to you can help instruct the dog how to use without interfering on their strokes. makes It easy for pulling in and out of the water as well

My Corgi Loves his Shark Life Vest

Bought this life vest for my Corgi to attend a meet-up at the beach. He has never been in the water before, but the vest gave him confidence to go a bit out from the shore and go swimming. The vest is so cute; he was the hit of day. The medium fits him perfectly. Shipping was super fast!

Shark Dog!

We love to kayak, and like to take our dog Iko (Boston terrier/pug mix) along for the ride. This vest is ridiculously adorable and gets a lot of attention. Iko tries to chew on the chest piece, but he's still growing so I imagine he will fit in better as he gets older and won't be as easy for him to reach. The only thing I wish would be that the fin was removable. Once we were in the kayak, the fin stays sturdy and kept hitting me, but overall it really wasn't problematic.

We needed another life jacket as we'd acquired another dog. My somewhat Diva female dalmatian didn't find orange flattering, which was her other one. So for fun I decided to order her a shark life vest, since the orange one fit our rescue dal better than her. I needed something quick, so this worked out well. I know it's not going to last as long as the other one, but it will get her through the summer. the handle on it is not as convenient as the other vest for helping her up on to the boat, but we make it work

More than I hoped for. It is very secure with heavy duty velcro and buckles. Holds my Frenchie up and he is about 30 lbs. Its beyond cute and a huge summer hit.

Ferocious Basset Shark

The medium fits my 35-40 lb basset shark pretty well. She doesn't think it's comfortable, but she doesn't like wearing anything. It has supported her in the water for a few minutes at a time, but she doesn't like swimming for longer than that. It's adorable and hilarious and doubles as a halloween costume!
