After receiving the project I realized it's got a lithium battery in it. You can't put lithium batteries in checked luggage. So why promote this as a baggage tracker only to have TSA take it. Totally defeats the purpose. It's been a waste of my time.

Let me first be clear... I read all the reviews before choosing the GL300, Good and Bad obviously deciding to trust Spy Tec. I was grossly miss lead ... This product is "Crap" the ONLY thing WORST than the GL300 is the support / customer service... totally agree with "This experience has been so horrifying that I almost feel like I'm in a social experiment. This can't be real. This is the worst product, customer service, and billing experience I have ever had, ever." ... I COULD NOT SAY IT ANY BETTER! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Specifically... it would not recharge EVER. (Yes I plugged the GL 300 to its adapter and an USB power supply for three days) . I paid for the upper grade service but the basic plan only is on my account. Yes I was charged the upper price! I couldn't get anyone That's NO ONE NO ONE to contact me for help no Email no call ... Nothing! Nothing at all from Spy Tec .. I'm not stopping here ... BBB, CE all the electronics/ Tech Reviews will see This ... Amazon I'm Disappointed with you as well because you are better than these Fokes at SpyTec ...

This experience has been so horrifying that I almost feel like I'm in a social experiment. This can't be real. This is the worst product, customer service, and billing experience I have ever had, ever. -I purchased this on 12/27/15 and received it on 1/2/16. I activated it on 1/3/16. -On 3/8/16, two months after I activated it, this device would no longer hold a charge. The metal piece that holds the charger seemed sunken/dislodged. This product was barely handled and used and was only charged once every two weeks. I still use the iPhone I purchased in 2013 because I know how to take good care of my electronics! -Admittedly, it took me several months to write in to the company, all the while I'm being billed $25 per month. There is no online dashboard from which to manage or cancel your billing, so good luck if you ever want to change your plan or cancel -- you can read about this in other reviews as well. -When I did write in, support has been spotty -- sometimes they message you back right away, sometimes it takes weeks and several follow-ups. First they said they'd issue me a 3-month refund and 3-month credit for the six months I paid service for a broken device. Then they said they would let me know about the credit -- they weren't sure if they could issue it. Then they said they'd issue it and that it would be reflected in my account. So far, I've received the 3-month refund, NO credit, AND MY ACCOUNT CONTINUES TO BE BILLED. IT'S REMARKABLE. Even after they know that I've been billed falsely, my device is broken, I'm waiting on them to send me a new one, they continue to bill me. So unethical. -They said they'd mail me a new device. The device they mailed me (more than 4 weeks after they said they would, and after I had to follow up twice) is completely different and completely wrong. Literally it's a completely different product that I cannot and don't want to use. I am at a loss. The product breaks. I continue to get billed. There's no recourse. They continue to mess up my billing and break their promise of issuing me a credit. They continue to fail to send me a replacement device. Avoid this product and company as much as possible. LOOK AT THE OTHER NEGATIVE REVIEWS! I never write reviews, but this whole experience has been so awful that I feel a personal responsibility to let others know.

Verified my (now ex) girlfriend was cheating. Sucks but it's better than never knowing the truth. The tracker was incredibly easy to set up. Charge lasted longer than what other reviews stated (mine is still 55% after just over a week). The best feature by far is the Geofence; I would get text alerts whenever my ex arrived or left the dude's apartment complex. I placed the tracker under her vehicle using the Spy Tec M2 Waterproof Weatherproof Magnetic Case for STI GL300 / GX350 Real-Time GPS Trackers which I also recommend.
Since the job is done, I submitted a form on their website to cancel the service. If they continue to charge my card (as other reviews warned of) I'll be sure to change this review to a one-star. UPDATE: They confirmed my cancellation request within 24 hours. Locating the cancellation form was as easy as typing "spytec gps cancellation" in my search bar. I would 10/10 recommend this product to anyone suspecting of infidelity.

Looks cool. No clue how well it works though. Activation and monthly payment plans? Pretty sure in the description it clearly says just activate and track. Sending it back. Nothing worse than being lied to just to sell a product

I did not buy it, but Amazon needs to check this. It DOES say NO MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTIONS, GJUST ACTIVATE & TRACK. Then you go to buy and it po pos up monthly plan rates...what the hell?!?!

This tracker is junk and so is the customer support! I've had this device since January and still cannot get it to work. Customer support consists of an online chat (no phone number to call) telling you to reset device over and over then take it for a ten minute drive. Well I've done that multiple times and it still shows I'm in New Jersey. No spytec, I'm not in New Jersey! I should've researched other trackers before purchasing this one. Total waste of money! And did I mention the service is $25/ month?

If you suspect your spouse is cheating you need to buy this. It works perfectly. It told me exactly what I needed to know and now the divorce process has been started Ignore the negative reviews. Those are just from people who didn't follow the instructions to get it set up right.
