I needed to replace my other money counting jar that was not counting my dimes for some reason. So I was happy to find this money counting jar on Amazon for such a great price. It's really a lot of fun seeing how much all your pocket change adds up over time. And I found that if you take your change to CoinStar and choose a gift card for payment that they don't charge a percent of your profits from your coins. That's good to know, especially during the holidays when I give out gift cards to my kids.

The jar seems like something that you get what you pay for. It does feel like it lacks a little quality but the price was low so that's understandable. The counting mechanism could be improved because very frequently it mistakes pennies for dimes and vice versa which defeats the whole purpose of a self-counting coin jar. Also the battery died half-way through counting the coins. I feel like if the coin counting mechanism was better, then it would be well worth the money otherwise like I wrote in the beginning, you get what you pay for.

I bought three (one for myself and one for my boyfriend's granddaughter and grandson) and I am returning all three because the coins are not counted correctly. I tried to feed the coins in slow and fast and it would work for a while and then it would skip coins or the coins would register in the wrong denomination (i.e., it seemed to have hard time differentiating between pennies and dimes and quarters would register as nickels every now and again).

I bought two one for wife. Real disappointed. Both of them would not work. Put several batteries in them both and even went so far as to check the batteries to make sure they were good even though they were new still in the box and they were good. So it had to be the money counters. I don't know if it would be s good counter or not because I packed them up and sent them back.

This was a gift. The recipient has used it many times now and it works perfectly. Easy to handle plastic container and easy to read numbers. No problem with putting any quarters, dimes, nickels, pennies into the slot. It's also accurate.

My second one of these. The other one is full. Great little change jar for someone who hates change. Very durable and counter really works unlike some of them. This one does a great job recognizing the type of coin and counting correctly.

I absolutely love this change counter when I received it. It is durable but I only rated it 1 star becasue no matter what change I put; each one rings up as 50 cents. I reset it and started over and it got back to the 50 cents counting after putting a couple of coins through

Exactly as described. It worked just fine. Altgough, it came in a plain box with no description of what was inside. I gave this as a gift and printered out a picture and taped it in the box.

Doesn't really work. This thing would only count coins correctly 1/10th of the time. It either gets the amount wrong, or just doesn't count them at all. We tried putting coins in quickly and slowly, neither one really worked.

Really good price for a quality counting jar for the family's loose change. The digital display is accurate, as long as you don't stick the coin half way through and take it back out because it still counts it.
