I normally use a different brand of nail caps on Amazon but they were sold out so I grabbed these instead. They work just like they are supposed to. The medium size fit my 9-10 pound cat just fine.

Be sure to trim the nails slightly first so that the caps will fit better and last longer. We always trim our cat's nails first and have not had a problem with the caps hurting her or digging into her paws.

Update: These caps are still working fine and have actually lasted a decent amount of time--at least for a few weeks. However, make sure you are checking the caps periodically. We check them once a week just to make sure that they weren't getting too close to the pads of our cat's paws. Once it comes to that point, we either just trim the caps or remove them completely and replace them with a new set.

So far AMAZING! Just got these in last night and was actually really nervous to try them. I read the few negative reviews which had me worried my cats would go mad trying to pull these off. I have 3 cats and just purchased a new leather couch set which I didn't want them clawing at. I do not trim their nails regularly or do anything of that sort so I expected this to be a challenge. All three cats sat perfectly calm while I cut their claws and applied the tips which was surprisingly very very easy. I did wrap the cats in a towel just in case they decided to be difficult. I then waited for the madness to begin, at the least expected them to flick their feet around for a little while, while they adjusted. Instead each cat ran away completely unaffected. It has been over 24 hours and all three cats still have all the caps on their claws and have had no problems walking, jumping , or playing like usual. They do no over groom their feet or pull at the claws at all. I am super pleased that my cats don't mind these and they are protecting my furniture! I would absolutely recommended especially for someone considering declawing!

Good product

These soft claws fit my 12 lb. 2 year old cat perfectly. They make her paws look very pretty. I have been using soft claws since my cat was 1, so she doesn't put up much of a fight during the application process. I have to re-apply new nails probably once a month (because they naturally fall off for various reasons). My only concern is that when they fall off, her nails are in a very fragile condition from the super glue. However, these are still the better alternative to de-clawing, so I will continue to use this product.

Not as good as the old ones

They changed these in the past few months. The caps seem much thinner, and you only get half as much glue and tips.

This may be fine if you are doing whole sets all the time, but it doesn't work like that...every few days or so, your cat will lose one and you need to reapply it. Each glue tube will only work about 2-3 times max before totally drying out.

I have one cat who is very relaxed and easy to manage when clipping nails. My other cat was actually very cooperative and comfortable while I was putting the Soft Paw Nail Caps on her. These were super simple to put on and that's really all I have to say about them. It's been a few days and although each cat has tried to bite them off, they've been unsuccessful. We have new furniture coming tomorrow and I'm happy that these will save our furniture and make it last longer. Everything around our house now is scratched up. I'm not sure why I didn't purchase these before.

Best clawing solution

I was very impressed with these. I remember when "soft claws" came out, you could only get them in your Veterinary clinic. I instantly jumped on this, as I was looking for a solution to one of my fur babies bad habit of scratching my walls, furniture, mattress etc. I thought these would be hard to apply but they were sooo easy. I have a very good repore with my cats. They trust me implicitly. I often gently caress their paws during cuddle time just to reassure them that I would never hurt them. She has had them on now for over a week and only one has come off. She's a black cat that has a pink collar and the pink glitter nail caps complete her look. She thinks she's fancy now. She did however, try pulling them off at first but only for a moment. She got used to the rather quickly. Be sure to fill the caps pretty full with the glue, otherwise they may fall off prematurely. I will be buying these on the regular. Give it a try!

Wouldn't stay on

These would not stay on no matter what I did. I followed the instructions perfectly, and they still didn't work.

The first time I applied them, they all fell off within an hour. Any time my cat licked her paws, one would fall off. I knew that I put enough glue in them, so I thought maybe they needed to be trimmed a bit (suggested in a directions). I tried this a few days later, but they fell off even quicker...

These were a waste of money. I was REALLY hoping these would work, but I guess I'll just have to accept that my cat will scratch up my furniture.

The best invention ever for indoor cats!

I absolutely loved them and so did my lovely cat Frida! I will definitely buy them again. It's been three weeks and she still has every single one of them on. They were very easy to put on her claws and it didn't take long at all for her to get used to them. Thanks to these nail caps we will be able to have nice furniture in our home!

CLS a must have!

My cat just started scratching a couple of years ago, and these saved our furniture! I tried other brands, and these are the best. The cleat locking system (CLS) really helps them stay on, as does getting the right size. They ususaly stay on for a couple of weeks.

My 18 y/o daughter and I put these on our 8 month old kitten together. She held her and comforted her as I applied. She's worn these soft claws for about 2 weeks now. Only one has popped off and was easy to replace. This is such an easy alternative to having to limit the cat to certain rooms in the house or having to declaw. I highly recommend using these!
